huh. never heard that before, but maybe it's true. I talk better with people older than me for sure.

I'm thinking that the further apart you are in age, the more allowances are made for differences..

You EXPECT them to think differently, so you aren't upset when they don't think the same way you do.

Also...most kids just don't like to communicate with their parents...

it's hard to talk to your parents!
I also really like talking to people that are about old enough to be an older sister. not too far away that you don't get what they're talking about, but still different some. isn't that always great?

Age changes.

When you're younger, your younger siblings seem so foreign.
But as you get older, they aren't that far away in age after all!

I've become more distant with my younger brother as time passes.

That may change as you both get older...

we were once really close. I was at one point closer to him than my brother who is one year older. now I'm not close with either. I haven't talked to my younger bro for probably four months. double that for my older bro since he has a job and lives in san antonio.

Well, as you get older and your parents get older, you'll find you HAVE to talk to each other more...

We've been paying for Long Term Care Insurance for years and years now...

I don't know about this stuff.

I know from experience that nursing homes are expensive.
So we wanted to be sure we have enough to cover it.

not everyone goes into a nursing home though. My grandpa didn't. He lived it out at home with my aunt and uncle watching over him.
