I think it's a good thing.
If you don't need the "crutch", then why start it?

Kat Dakuu 11-10-2012 10:33 PM

I drink, that's it. my parents bought me the drinks too, so I'm not using my own money.

Jeannesha 11-10-2012 10:37 PM

Some alcohol is actually good for you.

A small glass of wine now and then...

TerrenaAnimula 11-10-2012 10:38 PM

True. :D

I haven't used my own money yet. XD

I don't like wine. :/

Jeannesha 11-10-2012 10:39 PM

lol...Kat and I were discussing this before.
The sweet wines are really good...

Kat Dakuu 11-10-2012 10:40 PM

have you tried a chocolate merlot before? bliss....pure bliss. but I like most wines I've tried actually, though I probably wouldn't want much of any non-sweet ones.

TerrenaAnimula 11-10-2012 10:40 PM

I have had white and red and different types of them. I can't get into wine at all.

I did try a chocolate wine...it was disgusting!

Jeannesha 11-10-2012 10:41 PM

I like most white zinfandels.

This Silver Spur from Cowtown winery is bliss to me...nice and smooth, not acidic at all...

TerrenaAnimula 11-10-2012 10:43 PM

We have a bunch of winery's around here. O.o An insane amount of wineries.

Jeannesha 11-10-2012 10:45 PM

We did the winetasting in Forth Worth.. it was fun.

I just don't like dry wines at all...

Kat Dakuu 11-10-2012 10:46 PM

the wine my mom bought me was a white zifendel.
my favorite from the cowtown winery might have been the peach though. it was refreshing in the summer heat! did you try their wineritas, jean?

Jeannesha 11-10-2012 10:47 PM

No, I didn't. I think that they would have had too much sugar in them.

I liked their peach wine...but hubby didn't like it at all.
That's why I got the cranberry one. He liked that one ok...

Kat Dakuu 11-10-2012 10:48 PM

haha, they were really sweet. but it was great to drink them in the heat and you could take it outside and walk around with the drink. didn't have to stay inside!

Jeannesha 11-10-2012 10:49 PM

Really? I didn't know that...
But we were just doing the tasting. There wasn't much to carry with you...

Kat Dakuu 11-10-2012 10:50 PM

yeah, apparently you can have alcohol in the stockyards. outside anyway.

TerrenaAnimula 11-10-2012 10:51 PM

I have never been to a vineyard...wait...that's a lie! The Virginia Renaissance Fair is located in a vineyard! XD

Kat Dakuu 11-10-2012 10:54 PM

that's kinda cheating though isn't it, terre? you didn't go for the vineyard. but i think touring vineyards is pretty boring.

Jeannesha 11-10-2012 10:54 PM

You only go on a vineyard tour to taste the wines anyway...

TerrenaAnimula 11-10-2012 10:57 PM

I have done one wine tasting...and that was at a glass art studio in downtown stauton. XD

Kat Dakuu 11-10-2012 10:58 PM

I've done two or three wine tastings now. I think they've been good.

Jeannesha 11-10-2012 10:58 PM

Most wine connysewers are pretentious blow-hards.

(I'm not including my sister and her hubby in that description, or course!)

Kat Dakuu 11-10-2012 11:01 PM

I think my dad likes to play connoisseur at times, but he's not really.

TerrenaAnimula 11-10-2012 11:03 PM

My dad's fiancee thinks she knows everything there is to know about wines...but she doesn't.

Jeannesha 11-10-2012 11:03 PM

My sister says "The hang time of this wine is excellent!"

So that blows it for her...there's some other fancy word that should be used instead. (It's the way the wine clings to the glass)
