What kind of cookies?
|
mint cookies? that sounds a bit different.
|
I found some great mint sugar free cookies.
They taste just like the girl scout mint cookies! |
I love thin mints. I can eat the whole box in one sitting.
|
..and now I can too!
|
mmmm... i am hungry..
|
I just went to the grocery store and bought all kinds of sugar free cookies.
I've been on a major cookie binge lately, and I have to get away from the sugar! |
I think you should share some with me, jean.
|
I found some fabulous lemon wafer cookies...
Yum! |
hm....that's okay I guess, but I'd prefer something else.
|
Kat and Jean, I make the mint cookies that taste like Girl Scout thin mints. [drool] Already made one complete bar of chocolate, that's two and half pounds of chocolate and still have two more bars of chocolate to go.
|
You make chocolate bars?
I usually hand dip peanuts in chocolate. This year I'll do some regular for our guests, and some sugar free ones for me. |
that's a lot of chocolate!!!
and i miss being a girl scout and buying cookies from myself. I like me some chocolate covered peanuts! |
Jean, I realized now looking at my statement that it was confusing. When I said I made a complete bar of chocolate, I meant that a whole two and half pound bar of chocolate was used to make the mint cookies.
Chocolate covered peanuts sounds yummy! Kat, how long were you a Girl Scout? |
I was a girl scout all the way through. 12 years.
|
Awesome, Kat. Were you way involved in it?
My parents had me participate in Boys and Girls Campfire, which is of course not around anymore. |
up until the last few years, yeah. I mean, my troop didn't do a lot together, but we pursued awards and things.
sounds indian guides and princesses. |
I loved the camping trips they took us on. Summer camp was the best. We went horse back riding everyday and swimming in the lake as the sun came up. Ahh, to be a kid again
|
I couldn't join the brownies/girl scouts.
My parents couldn't afford the uniform. My brother got to join the boy scouts cuz they had a uniform from my older brother. |
I don't think we had a uniform. At least I don't remember having one. Jean, that's crummy they require a uniform but don't make it affordable.

I was a girl scout for eight years. I only stayed in it that long just to hang with my friends. But once they either moved or stopped coming, I just up and quit because it was the most stupid thing ever. I only had one good troop leader and when I had her for a troop leader, that was the only time I liked doing anything and I got the most badges when I was in her troops. The one I ended with though, I have no idea how she even became a troop leader. No one listened to her and the people who did, she usually threw out of the troop. :/ Basically every one in my troop except for like three of us did drugs, smoke, and drink. :/
But I definitely miss the Thin Mints! BEST COOKIE EVER! I haven't had them in years. T_T I was told by a girl scout that I could order them online so I went looking. That was a lie. -_- |
We used to have girl sprouts selling cookies in the neighborhood, so I could always count on being able to buy some. But then they quit coming around. (I guess they grew up)
My favorites were the chocolate/coconut/caramel ones. I forget what they were called... Kelloggs has a fiber bar that tastes just like them! |
Jean I can't think of the name of the cookie either, but I know the one you speak of.
I am already out of work and it's boring sitting here doing nothing. |
It's Monday!
You aren't working now? I think I need to go for a walk... |
Those were my favorite too Jean :)
