What kind of cookies?

Kat Dakuu 11-11-2012 07:18 PM

mint cookies? that sounds a bit different.

Jeannesha 11-11-2012 07:44 PM

I found some great mint sugar free cookies.
They taste just like the girl scout mint cookies!

Kat Dakuu 11-11-2012 07:47 PM

I love thin mints. I can eat the whole box in one sitting.

Jeannesha 11-11-2012 08:44 PM

..and now I can too!

dessertdesiert 11-11-2012 09:25 PM

mmmm... i am hungry..

Jeannesha 11-11-2012 10:15 PM

I just went to the grocery store and bought all kinds of sugar free cookies.
I've been on a major cookie binge lately, and I have to get away from the sugar!

Kat Dakuu 11-12-2012 01:27 AM

I think you should share some with me, jean.

Jeannesha 11-12-2012 02:43 AM

I found some fabulous lemon wafer cookies...
Yum!

Kat Dakuu 11-12-2012 03:12 AM

hm....that's okay I guess, but I'd prefer something else.

Queen_Andais 11-12-2012 03:44 AM

Kat and Jean, I make the mint cookies that taste like Girl Scout thin mints. [drool] Already made one complete bar of chocolate, that's two and half pounds of chocolate and still have two more bars of chocolate to go.

Jeannesha 11-12-2012 03:47 AM

You make chocolate bars?

I usually hand dip peanuts in chocolate.

This year I'll do some regular for our guests, and some sugar free ones for me.

Kat Dakuu 11-12-2012 03:54 AM

that's a lot of chocolate!!!

and i miss being a girl scout and buying cookies from myself.

I like me some chocolate covered peanuts!

Queen_Andais 11-12-2012 04:13 AM

Jean, I realized now looking at my statement that it was confusing. When I said I made a complete bar of chocolate, I meant that a whole two and half pound bar of chocolate was used to make the mint cookies.

Chocolate covered peanuts sounds yummy!

Kat, how long were you a Girl Scout?

Kat Dakuu 11-12-2012 04:16 AM

I was a girl scout all the way through. 12 years.

Queen_Andais 11-12-2012 04:22 AM

Awesome, Kat. Were you way involved in it?

My parents had me participate in Boys and Girls Campfire, which is of course not around anymore.

Kat Dakuu 11-12-2012 04:26 AM

up until the last few years, yeah. I mean, my troop didn't do a lot together, but we pursued awards and things.

sounds indian guides and princesses.

Queen_Andais 11-12-2012 05:00 PM

I loved the camping trips they took us on. Summer camp was the best. We went horse back riding everyday and swimming in the lake as the sun came up. Ahh, to be a kid again

Jeannesha 11-12-2012 05:04 PM

I couldn't join the brownies/girl scouts.
My parents couldn't afford the uniform.

My brother got to join the boy scouts cuz they had a uniform from my older brother.

Queen_Andais 11-12-2012 05:17 PM

I don't think we had a uniform. At least I don't remember having one. Jean, that's crummy they require a uniform but don't make it affordable.

TerrenaAnimula 11-12-2012 05:32 PM

I was a girl scout for eight years. I only stayed in it that long just to hang with my friends. But once they either moved or stopped coming, I just up and quit because it was the most stupid thing ever. I only had one good troop leader and when I had her for a troop leader, that was the only time I liked doing anything and I got the most badges when I was in her troops. The one I ended with though, I have no idea how she even became a troop leader. No one listened to her and the people who did, she usually threw out of the troop. :/ Basically every one in my troop except for like three of us did drugs, smoke, and drink. :/

But I definitely miss the Thin Mints! BEST COOKIE EVER! I haven't had them in years. T_T
I was told by a girl scout that I could order them online so I went looking. That was a lie. -_-

Jeannesha 11-12-2012 05:35 PM

We used to have girl sprouts selling cookies in the neighborhood, so I could always count on being able to buy some. But then they quit coming around. (I guess they grew up)

My favorites were the chocolate/coconut/caramel ones.
I forget what they were called...

Kelloggs has a fiber bar that tastes just like them!

Queen_Andais 11-12-2012 05:52 PM

Jean I can't think of the name of the cookie either, but I know the one you speak of.
I am already out of work and it's boring sitting here doing nothing.

Jeannesha 11-12-2012 06:19 PM

It's Monday!
You aren't working now?

I think I need to go for a walk...

dessertdesiert 11-12-2012 06:40 PM

Those were my favorite too Jean :)
