But if you set up your own computers as the server, I don't know.

I'd think it would be easier if you aren't a computer person to have your web site hosted by another company.

That would be the OS that their server runs...
I would suspect the web pages would run on any system.

Different sites have different tools for designing your web pages.
So you need to figure out how much design you want to do yourself, or how much the site actually covers, or helps you to design.

But some sites will basically just do the web pages FOR you (for a fee of course).

Others have like you say, templates and things to help you do your own.

I think that GoDaddy may be the best site.
They're used to people not having a lot of computer skills...

it's not one of the places recommended to me, but it's where I got my domain name, so whatever.

I think we got our domain names from someplace called Cheapnames.

that sounds a bit....cheap.

KAT! Go to HostMonster! They are good! I love them! I used them for six years! And I WILL be returning to them. Right now it is $4 a month for new people!

I got my domain from them as well. And depending upon how you renew (or buy), you can get a free domain name. Then if they give out things, you don't have to renew it or it is $10 for a year to renew the domain name. Depends on what they have going on at the time.

you mentioned that ter. godaddy is like 2 dollars though. I already have my domain name for two years.
