it was spooky in the movie, but it kinda just ended. or did I miss something? it was great until the end.

Jeannesha 02-24-2013 08:45 PM

The Stephen King movies are NEVER as good as the books are!

I don't remember how the movie ended.

The Kit-Kat Project 02-24-2013 08:46 PM

like, she just gets in the car and drives way and he...was in the maze and I don't know what happened to him.
I haven't read any of his books.

Jeannesha 02-24-2013 08:47 PM

Didn't the place burn down?

Kat Dakuu 02-24-2013 08:48 PM

I don't remember. maybe? but I don't think anyone died except that black guy.

Jeannesha 02-24-2013 09:37 PM

I remember that.
I felt sorry for him!

But the wife and kid did make it out I know...

Kat Dakuu 02-24-2013 09:44 PM

the death seemed kinda random.

I think it would have been better if they died or at least had to fight more at the end. the just get in the car and go.

Jeannesha 02-24-2013 09:44 PM

I think in the book she was fighting to get out of the hotel before it burned down.
It was a lot scarier...

Kat Dakuu 02-24-2013 09:46 PM

that didn't happen in the movie I don't think. or if it did, it came too early. I thought the guy who died died too early and that make it feel unclimatic because that was one of the more intense things to happen.

Jeannesha 02-24-2013 09:47 PM

That's true.
I remember thinking that I had thought he was going to mentor the kid a lot more.

Kat Dakuu 02-24-2013 09:49 PM

I don't really remember the movie much though, even though I only watched it last year.

Jeannesha 02-24-2013 10:01 PM

I think I've only seen the movie once or twice.

The Kit-Kat Project 02-24-2013 10:02 PM

it's the only stephen king movie I've seen.

Jeannesha 02-24-2013 10:04 PM

I loved The Stand. It was a TV series.

Oh wow...I just saw an ad on TV for a Dodge Registry.

You register a car, and then different people buy pieces of it for you...
Just like a bridal registry.

The Kit-Kat Project 02-24-2013 10:09 PM

whaaatt?? what's a bridal registry??

Jeannesha 02-24-2013 10:11 PM

You've never heard of a bridal registry?

The bride and groom to be go to a department store or something, and then go around and pick their china, glasses, cookery, etc. It all goes on a list.

Then they tell people that they're registered at that store, and people can go to that store, look up the registry, and choose what they want to buy.
The item gets checked off then, so the bride and groom don't get duplicate gifts.

Bridal registries have been around for YEARS.

The Kit-Kat Project 02-24-2013 10:12 PM

I wouldn't know about things like that. I've never thought about anyones or my own marriage, so yeah.

Jeannesha 02-24-2013 10:13 PM

Actually, they're now using the registry concept for a LOT of stuff.

A lot of grads are registering so their friends/family can get them stuff they want as grad presents...etc.

The Kit-Kat Project 02-24-2013 10:14 PM

I guess it makes sense. they don't seem like a bad idea.

seriously? and people give noteworthy stuff as grad presents?

Jeannesha 02-24-2013 10:19 PM

I don't know...I guess some people have rich families.

I wouldn't have minded a registry for my nephews.
It would have been nice to give them something that I knew they would like, instead of just money.

The Kit-Kat Project 02-24-2013 10:23 PM

but everyone gives money because that's what people want!

Jeannesha 02-24-2013 10:24 PM

Money is just so impersonal.

"Here, I didn't want to waste my time trying to think of what you'd like, so I'm just going to give you some cash".

Kat Dakuu 02-24-2013 11:56 PM

I've never even heard of giving real gifts for graduation. and I'm not lying. we like gift cards and money most. my brother always just asks for a thousand dollars for birthday/christmas.

Connielass 02-25-2013 04:05 AM

A thousand?!

Are you serious?

A Thousand dollars, just for his birthday or Christmas.

Wow.

The Kit-Kat Project 02-25-2013 04:16 AM

I said he asked. I didn't say it happened.
