it was spooky in the movie, but it kinda just ended. or did I miss something? it was great until the end.
|
The Stephen King movies are NEVER as good as the books are!
I don't remember how the movie ended. |
like, she just gets in the car and drives way and he...was in the maze and I don't know what happened to him.
I haven't read any of his books. |
Didn't the place burn down?
|
I don't remember. maybe? but I don't think anyone died except that black guy.
|
I remember that.
I felt sorry for him! But the wife and kid did make it out I know... |
the death seemed kinda random.
I think it would have been better if they died or at least had to fight more at the end. the just get in the car and go. |
I think in the book she was fighting to get out of the hotel before it burned down.
It was a lot scarier... |
that didn't happen in the movie I don't think. or if it did, it came too early. I thought the guy who died died too early and that make it feel unclimatic because that was one of the more intense things to happen.
|
That's true.
I remember thinking that I had thought he was going to mentor the kid a lot more. |
I don't really remember the movie much though, even though I only watched it last year.
|
I think I've only seen the movie once or twice.
|
it's the only stephen king movie I've seen.
|
I loved The Stand. It was a TV series.
Oh wow...I just saw an ad on TV for a Dodge Registry. You register a car, and then different people buy pieces of it for you... Just like a bridal registry. |
whaaatt?? what's a bridal registry??
|
You've never heard of a bridal registry?
The bride and groom to be go to a department store or something, and then go around and pick their china, glasses, cookery, etc. It all goes on a list. Then they tell people that they're registered at that store, and people can go to that store, look up the registry, and choose what they want to buy. The item gets checked off then, so the bride and groom don't get duplicate gifts. Bridal registries have been around for YEARS. |
I wouldn't know about things like that. I've never thought about anyones or my own marriage, so yeah.
|
Actually, they're now using the registry concept for a LOT of stuff.
A lot of grads are registering so their friends/family can get them stuff they want as grad presents...etc. |
I guess it makes sense. they don't seem like a bad idea.
seriously? and people give noteworthy stuff as grad presents? |
I don't know...I guess some people have rich families.
I wouldn't have minded a registry for my nephews. It would have been nice to give them something that I knew they would like, instead of just money. |
but everyone gives money because that's what people want!
|
Money is just so impersonal.
"Here, I didn't want to waste my time trying to think of what you'd like, so I'm just going to give you some cash". |
I've never even heard of giving real gifts for graduation. and I'm not lying. we like gift cards and money most. my brother always just asks for a thousand dollars for birthday/christmas.
|
A thousand?!
Are you serious? A Thousand dollars, just for his birthday or Christmas. Wow. |
I said he asked. I didn't say it happened.
