We're having smoked butt tonight.

Hubby smoked a pork butt a few weeks ago. It took 16 hours.
So even though it's been frozen, it still has a wonderful smokey flavor to it.

I think I'll have a sandwich for dinner since I ate so much pizza for lunch. I'm not so hungry.

I unfortunately ate too much for lunch, but at least I didn't eat so much for dinner.

A friend sent me some pears from Harry & David for my birthday, so I had a nice yummy pear too!

I don't eat pears very often. I stopped eating them as a child when I got sick of them and haven't got back into the habit. I'll eat the golden brown pears most.

I've never tried the brown ones.

I have the same trouble with pears that I do with nectarines.
I can never seem to get them at the right level of ripeness. Usually they're too green when I eat them.

they're soft and sweet.

ah. I hate fruit not ripe enough.

I just can never "feel" them well enough.
Nectarines and pears...they just don't ever feel ripe to me.

I am having soup tonight.

I think we're having leftover smoked pork butt sandwiches tonight.
At least, I think it's some kind of leftovers...

I'm having a sandwich I stole from the cafeteria at lunch time and maybe some soup for dinner. I'm working today so I don't plan to spend time on eating.

It's the final, but my driver isn't going to win.

Today was also the big F1 race in Austin.
We watched it on TV.

sounds fun.

One of these days we're going to go to a smaller race at that track so we can wander around and see it.

It's a huge track though....
