Well, I made it to my sleep study and back, but it was a real waste of time.
I don't think I fell asleep at all. Maybe for an hour at the most. Every time I dropped off, I jerked awake again. So The study was basically useless. |
ah, I see. that's too bad, but at least the drive went well.
|
Yeah. It was drizzling out, but just above freezing, so the rain stayed rain.
I was afraid that at 6:30am I'd have to chisel the ice off the windshield, but it stayed wet. So I got home and crashed in my recliner. Slept for about 4 hours, and then took a shower to get the gunk out of my hair. They paste these electrodes to your scalp, and that goo is HARD to wash out. |
that's nice. Well...yeah. I don't know a better word. Sounds better there than here though. The electrodes sounds like a cool experience. I ain't never seen that off tv.
|
It is pretty cool.
They wire you all up....something out of science fiction. When I was really young, I had an EEG... It was the same sort of thing, but more wires on my scalp. |
cool! I love how sometimes real science is so much like science fiction. It's a world I don't get to see often because I'm young, but I like to collect experiences because experiences are inspiration.
|
Sometimes I think I've had entirely TOO many experiences in my life.
lol... |
NOT POSSIBLE! And you should share them all with me because I'd love to hear.
|
lol....you can live vicariously through me then.
But chatting with all you guys on here helps keep me young too. Did I ever mention the time I got gored by a cow? |
sounds great! :D
that's great too. I'm glad we can make you feel young. It's almost as good as being young! O.o no, I don't think I've heard that story. |
We were living on my Uncle's farm at the time.
I guess I was about 13 or 14 years old. He had a cow tied up in a little clearing, and she had a calf by her. I wanted to pet the calf, so I went over and fed them some hay...then went and petted the little calf. But, I didn't realize that you just don't get between a cow and her calf. She came after me and grazed me with her horn. It tore my coat, my shirt, and gave me a cut right above my hip. I figured I was going to be in trouble, so I tried to mend the coat and shirt. Unfortunately, Mom saw the bad sewing job and asked what happened. She wasn't too upset. Just told me I got off easy. lol...I like to say that I was gored. It sounds better than saying I was "grazed" by a cow. |
lol, so much less horrifying than it sounded! I like how you tried to hide it and got found out. All from bad sewing. tsk tsk. See, you have an interesting life. It's good to share.
|
I did learn to sew better after that!
lol... So, did you have a good Thanksgiving? Hubby is going to the store tomorrow to buy a turkey. I think he plans on doing the whole turkey/stuffing thing on Sunday or Monday. |
Having a late thanksgiving then?
|
Hey everybody. How are you all doing? I hope you are all doing well. I am just working on earning gold for items being held for me.
|
Hi Kirin!
Yup, we're having a late Thanksgiving here. He makes the BEST stuffing! I'm always asking him to make it, even for just a chicken dinner... |
Stuffing, yum.
|
I know.
The stuffing is my favorite part of Thanksgiving! |
I threw my stuffing out. I was yucky. We had venison with our turkey and I actually liked that best.
|
I've never liked corn bread stuffing, or oyster stuffing.
Just the regular old bread with lots of sage and stuff in it... |
I think my aunt made corn bread stuffing. there were two different kinds, but I only tried one.
|
I've never cared for corn bread at all.
It tastes kinda grainy to me. Like I'm crunching on dirt or something. lol... |
I like a good moist cornbread, especially in chili
|
I know.. Hubby can't understand why I don't care for it.
He says it's sweet, and I like sweet things. Well, we had our "Thanksgiving" meal today. The stuffing was WONDERFUL! Lots of great gravy. He's boiling the carcass now to get some good stock out of it. |
today? You're so late....
