football and band are the worst for it. Band hell week would have already started too I think. Those sports get worked the hardest in the midday heat. And the stuff footballers have to wear is dreadful in the heat.

Problem with the late evening is the mosquitoes.

Yeah. I live in PA. It never used to get above the 90s here, when I was a kid. Now ... well, this summer's not been so bad for temperature, but the humidity! The humidity AND the heat is what really kills me.

Houston is the WORST for the humidity!

and really, the mosquitoes are just as bad during the day so it's not a good excuse.

Mosquitoes come out more at dusk for some reason.

I see them in swarms during the afternoon.

Well, they seem to bite more at dusk.

But it's true...you also get bit during the day.

with the amount of them...honestly you get bit whenever. I get bit more early in the day when I'm doing yardwork than in the evening on the swing.

I always get bit overnight, while I'm sleeping - in my room, under the sheets, in the a/c.

I'm glad I don't have to worry about that anymore. I hated being out in the heat of the day.

The thing I hate the most is when you're in bed, just starting to fall asleep, and you hear "zzzmmmmzzz".

That little tiny buzz that tells you a blood-sucking critter is just going to zap you!
You try to hide under the covers, but it's too hot...

Haha. The bugs rarely go after me when I hear them in my room. But the sound is solo irritating it drives me crazy!!

They're attracted to the carbon dioxide you exhale.
So I try to breathe under the covers.
