In the mornings it's pretty nice. Like right now it's about 8:40 and the temp is 67. It's supposed to get up to 100 today though. Yuck! Yeah, I drive them over if we don't walk, some of the parents dropping off their kids though... I don't where they learn to drive but they need better driving etiquette.

How can the mornings be so cool? It's not here. I always rode the bus.
|
Last night was eh.
The night before was gorgeous! Down in the upper 50s. I slept with my light spring quilt on, and the window slightly cracked. It felt like Vermont! I loved it! |
I keep the fan on in my room so it will be cool at night. I end up under my blanket because I really prefer its coziness.
|
We always have the ceiling fan on. I like the air moving around.
It's too hot to sleep with a blanket, but I like to at least use the sheet. |
Maybe because it's so dry here? I tell you I'd rather dry heat than heat with humidty. I die when it's humid out.
It did get up to 100 today. So stinkin hot out there.. but at least it's dry heat. I'm the same way Jean, I have to have the "whirlwind" on. Otherwise I sweat buckets. Hubby is a wienie and he gets cold. Pfft. |
We're having steak tonight! With all the fixins.
Fully loaded baked tater, harticort vert beans, sauted with onions and bacon... Yum! |
Sounds tasty! I fried up some breaded pork chops and made cheesy rice.
|
It was just me and my mom for dinner so we went and ate Italian. Couldn't finish it all so we both have something for tomorrow's lunch!!
|
Onion, cucumber and seaweed, all marinated with hot pepper paste, over cold noodles.
Yum! |
That sounds tasty Kat!
Hmm seaweed? O.O |
Yeah....I'd be a bit "iffy" on the seaweed too...
Cheesy rice sounds tasty though! We're disappointed by the steak. Hubby bought what he though was Prime center cut tenderloins. But they didn't look center cut, and they were a bit tough, so I don't think they were prime at all. I told him to go complain to a manager over there. |
It's a Korean dish. Korea being a peninsula, seafood makes up a good portion of the diet. And next time you eat sushi rolls - you're eating dried seaweed. [mrgreen]
|
I'd complain Jean!
Hmmm I've never had sushi or seaweed. |
I love seaweed, especially roasted and on top of a salad.
|
Well, see...I don't eat sushi either.
I have a very sensitive palate. I don't care for raw or rare seafood. Now steaks on the other hand...mmm....they've gotta be mooing! |
Ew. I'd prefer a sushi to a steak like that any day!!
|
I don't like any food that moos, clucks, oinks or whatever sound they could make. lol. I like mine well done.
|
Not all sushi is raw. Try shrimp tempura, which is just fried shrimp in a roll.
|
I prefer the raw kind. Though I've met few sushi I don't like.
Generally I don't like anything that came from a mooing animal no matter how it was cooked. |

I wouldn't be a very good vegetarian either.
Hmm I'll have try that if we ever find a sushi place. |
I could be a vegetarian though I've never all out tried. I would miss seafood dearly at least.
|
One of our local grocery stores added a sushi counter with sushi chefs right there. It's not as cool as a proper Japanese/sushi restaurant, but it's pretty close. Lots of the usual rolls along with a few things most of the folks in my neck of the woods would find gross. My digestion can't handle a lot of red meat, but I do prefer it rare.
|
Ah very cool. My local school has that too.
