Doesn't it dry faster without a towel?

TerrenaAnimula 01-12-2015 04:15 AM

Yeah.... but when I take it down, I will automatically brush it...I don't want to brush my hair when it is still really wet. So I leave it up in a towel for a bit.

Kat Dakuu 01-12-2015 04:16 AM

I see...? I think if I didn't brush my hair immediately though, I'd forget altogether.

TerrenaAnimula 01-12-2015 04:19 AM

lol...I wouldn't...if I wait for it to completely dry before brushing my hair....that would really hurt. I hate tangles.

Kat Dakuu 01-12-2015 04:22 AM

I could probably do without brushing my hair at all. I sleep on it and don't brush in the morning after all.

TerrenaAnimula 01-12-2015 04:33 AM

I brush mine after I wash it...and when I get up in the morning...well...if I get dressed to go out or to work...if I am at home all day...I don't brush it. XD

Kat Dakuu 01-12-2015 04:34 AM

I can't brush my hair dry. Terrrrrible idea.

Connielass 01-12-2015 04:42 AM

Yeah, I have thick hair. If I don't brush it out when it's wet, it's an absolute nightmare to brush when it's dry. You know what I use? "It's a 10" leave-in conditioner. You only spray two or three times (not on the scalp), and then brush your hair. My bottle is a sample size (4fl oz). I've had this bottle for... I think like three years? And it's still a little under half-full. So if you go looking for it and see the price, DON'T RUN AWAY!!! The price for a bottle that will last AT LEAST three years is TOTALLY worth it.

Shampoos, I use Herbal Essences "long term relationship" if my hair is feeling particularly oily, and then Dove Pure Care Dry Oil shampoo. I used to use Head & Shoulders, and it worked for a long time to get rid of dandruff. But at some point it stopped working as well, so I switched to Dove and I love it.

TerrenaAnimula 01-12-2015 04:42 AM

I use an antifrizz brush.
Which around here...I can only find at Ulta.

Kat Dakuu 01-12-2015 04:45 AM

Brushing curly hair is just bad usually. I have almost no tangles with or without brushing. It just won't look good if I do brush it dry.

TerrenaAnimula 01-12-2015 04:48 AM

I have wavy hair...although when it is around should length, it can be curly. Although...If I shower in the morning, and let my hair air dry, it will curl more.

Kat Dakuu 01-12-2015 04:49 AM

That's why curly hair is best left air dried and untouched. It's the way to retain the curls. Brushing it pulls them out.

TerrenaAnimula 01-12-2015 05:19 AM

Yep. But you can tell when I don't brush my hair though. :/

Kat Dakuu 01-12-2015 05:21 AM

I pat my hair down with water and lightly untangle it with my fingers in the morning. That's the technique that does me wonders. It air dries a little that way.

TerrenaAnimula 01-12-2015 05:24 AM

That doesn't work for me. Considering how long my hair is.

Kat Dakuu 01-12-2015 05:26 AM

I suppose that would be harder. Sometimes I have to work at it in the morning, but for the most part, a little wet down gets it to curl naturally.

TerrenaAnimula 01-12-2015 05:29 AM

:D I do miss having curls...that's why I have thought about getting long layers.

Kat Dakuu 01-12-2015 05:32 AM

I would mourn if my curls left!! [gonk]

TerrenaAnimula 01-12-2015 05:33 AM

Mine have kinda left...but I know if I cut my hair they will return. XD

Kat Dakuu 01-12-2015 05:35 AM

make them come back!
Everyone says you want the kind of hair you don't have, but I don't want straight hair at all.

TerrenaAnimula 01-12-2015 05:37 AM

I don't want straight hair either!

Kat Dakuu 01-12-2015 05:40 AM

But so many curl haired people do. :(

TerrenaAnimula 01-12-2015 05:43 AM

I know! I don't know why either. I know sometimes I wish I had it...but only for a certain way to wear my hair...once...so it isn't even enough of a reason to straighten my hair for even a day.
I know one of my friends in high school tried straightening my hair once. But the time she got to the other side, where she started has already started curling back more than what it was before she started. :/

Kat Dakuu 01-12-2015 05:46 AM

When my hair was longer, it did work better straight. I didn't know how to deal with it is all. I did straighten in high school because people told me I should because it was 'so cute'. And for colorguard, I needed more tamable hair to do the styles.

TerrenaAnimula 01-12-2015 05:51 AM

I got made fun of because of my hair. People either liked it, or it was "too long." :/
