Hiya!

Well, I just went and got a haircut today, which makes it probably the most interesting thing that happened to me lately XD There really isn't much to do around here ^^" But at least I have something to look forward to tomorrow. One final Chinese New Year visit to a friend's house.

Chinese New Year? You celebrate Chinese New Year? Hehe I don't celebrate it but my neighbors do.

On Chinese New Year it was as noisy as New Year Day. It was like mini bombs all over the place. But at least the fireworks were pretty.

Yeap! Chinese New Year is a very noisy celebration :) But unfortunately, most fireworks are banned here. The pretty ones... Though it doesn't stop some people from playing them ^^" We mostly get firecrackers so those are probably the mini bombs you hear. They're usually lit up during lion dance performances.

But i generally love Chinese New Year and all the festivities. Really sad that it is going to end soon. What festivals do you celebrate?

Hmm...I don't really celebrate any festival except the religion ones like Mary's Birthday or a if it's an important saint day thing there are a lot more but I forgot... I don't really like those festivals because you have to do the vigil and walk. But at least they postpone the morning subjects and we can have a feast. So I guess that's nice.

@Ari - Well actually im lookin into being a nanny over in the states for a year. I got offered a job doing that, but i'm not sure yet. It's kind of scary leaving your home country to go to a place where you have no friends or family.

Wow! It sounds really different there :) And a feast sounds great. We don't really do that here in our schools. But we dis have time when we managed to skip classes because of festivals where the Muslim students would have to do prayers and the rest of us would just stay in class doing nothing ^^" Thinking back, I guess most of us skipped the whole day of school sometimes... :P

lol I think that's ramadan. Us too even if we aren't muslim and there aren't muslim in our school because it's a catholic school we get to have a day off if it's the end of ramadan. Their excuse is we have to respect their religion as they respect ours. I find that so weird. But at least we can skip school :sarcasm:
