Ah, are you in college now? Or is your high school as such that there are long breaks between classes? ^-^" I remember back in my high school I never really had any breaks but 20 minutes for lunch >.<" But most of the time our teachers never attended class anyways so we were always left alone. It was fun but it was bad at the same time since we realized we didn't learn much :P

You would be amazed how cheap anime boxsets are here! I think for 4 euro you could get a 26 episode series with decent subtitles! ^-^" that's about 15 ringgit for us but even for us its still cheap! Last time, it could go up to 100s of ringgit! I remember I bought Fruits Basket for about 50 bucks and now the price has dropped to 15! It just takes time for prices to drop like crazy! But even newer animes now are getting cheaper. Prices drop once the new season of anime starts. :) So getting shugo chara would be okay for me if I didn't need to start work soon since I would have to save up some money for the first month before getting my salary and all. Its my final semester in university so I need to spend wisely. Solace: So how are you finding college life so far? :) Both: wonderland was my first ever mmorpg. I had never really tried anything like that before, so as an mmorpg virgin, I found it really cute! but it got really hard after that and I had no patience to wait for things to build! >.<" Oh! I really like being in college actually. I have good days, and bad ones and days when I think I can't do this, but i'm managing and I think i'm going to do good.

College is really fun especially since you meet a lot of new and interesting people there! I had to start fresh not knowing many people in my first year and it was pretty horrible being alone all the time ^^" But I've made some good friends since then and have really had a better college experience because of them!
WoW Is quite an expensive game to get into and it does require a lot of time. I know a couple of things about it because whenever I skype my boyfriend, he's always on the game. And I just hear lots of killing and dying in the background. *Hugs you both back too* XD Ringgit is Malaysia currency. and is 4 times less than the Euro XD and 3.5 times less than the dollar :P Rough estimations at least. I come from Malaysia where there are no seasons... Just rain and sun! XD |
OMG anime is indeed cheap there. Here its so expensive it's about 25 euro for one volume. Sometimes a box is cheaper but is often close to a 75 or 100 euros. That's just insane for me, i can not afford stuff like that at all.
Same with manga, it's expensive when i get English translated versions. German are cheaper and so are Dutch translations, but unfortunately we don't have enough cool manga translated. |

I guess its because we are an Asian country and its cheaper to import it here and our country is licensed to reproduce some of the anime so we get it locally produced hence the difference in price ^^" I know that in other parts of the world anime prices are insane. So I guess one good thing about living here would be the cheap anime :P
We have translated manga here too but they are expensive if they are English translated because those would be sold in big bookstores like Kinokuniya. If they are translated to Chinese, its usually a lot cheaper! But I can't read Chinese even though I am Chinese so I don't really know the prices of Chinese manga. We have Malay translated manga too which turn out really shitty ^^" but re really cheap and yeap, we don't get any cool manga in Malay either. Especially if they are considered scandalous like yaoi and yuri... |

I can only follow a little Japanese because of watching a lot of anime. I usually watch subtitled. I don't like dubbed. Ouch, but do you like yuri or yaoi? I mean if you don't care about it, it doesn't really matter. As long as you can read the manga you like right? I was wondering do you draw? I know that a lot of great artist on deviantart come from Malaysia. They make the most wonderful artworks. I really admire it. |
Nowadays when packaged in the DVD, the anime can be either subtitled or dubbed or both ^^" Most of the time the DVD comes with both. But yeah, I'm probably like you learning my Japanese through anime. But mine was more through my obsession with J-dorama last time and also j-pop when I was really diligent in reading the Japanese words in the lyrics while the artistes sang. That was how I got my basic hiragana and katakana! ^^ I hate my anime dubbed too >.<" Especially if the dubbing is really silly! I watched an episode of digimon dubbed in this weird sounding English before >.<" Though digimon and pokemon in English are pretty okay to me. In fact, those are the only two anime I really like the dubbed versions more than the original. Maybe it's because I'm biased since my real name is Ash and in the Japanese pokemon, Ash is Satoshi and not Ash XD
I don't mind both actually as long as the story is okay. I prefer normal ai but yaoi over yuri ^^ Yaoi can be pretty sweet as long as one of the guy really acts like a guy and we don't have both of them acting uke like ^^" I definitely do not draw but my friend here does. The one that introduced me to this place has an artshop here too with over 600 pages in that thread! She's crazy! She draws anime style so maybe you could check her out on DA. I think she does by Meinarch there. I used to CG her drawings but I got really tired of it since I'm very very slow!!! XD |
I never heard the English versions of Pokemon and Digimon. Hm or maybe i did..with a Pokemon movie. The only one i was ok with was Gundam Wing, but as soon as i heard the original Japanese voices, it was over for me. They are just so much better at the emotions in voices, they make it sound so real.
You are called Ash? That is really a beautiful name! I prefer 'ai' more too, it has better stories. I really like Junjo Romantica though. >///< hehe. You're here rather early! :) I didn't really get much sleep yesterday since I ended up watching CNN about the trial in Cambodia about a genocide in the 1970s. Genocides may be horrible but I cannot deny that they are an interesting part of history.
Ah... Then I feel better for not giving you wrong directions ^-^ but yeah, there are just so many things to do on the internet too and you had to play those games to earn gold right? :) As you can see, I dropped from my 5k again XD I could not wait to spiffy up my avatar and just had to get the leggings! The cuffs didn't work as expected sadly. The roses covered them up ^^" Gundam was interesting until it got too angsty. The blonde girl was crazy O.o And there was Shin Asuka who was almost as crazy! He kind of annoyed me at some points of the anime being too indecisive and stuff compared to the other pilots. I never finished it because it got stuck halfway through when Rei (?) ended up shooting blue haired good guy. I forgot their names... haha! But it was a pretty good anime. People have mentioned that the new season is epic! Junjou romantica is a very short anime so I think I'll be able to finish it pretty fast. If I'm crazy, maybe even in just one day ^^ |

I can not remember Shin Asuka being in the first season Gundam Seed. I didn't know there was another season? The only Gundam series I watched were, Gundam Wing, Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny. But it's been a while back since i saw it. Brings back memories i almost feel like watching all my old anime again. RAWR. Junjo Romantica is 12 episodes i think and there is a 2nd season aswell, still airing. Ugh! i am a little pissed off with the other avatarsite i am on. Their valentine event sucked so much. And now it's over they tell you the trick how to get a certain item and then it's to late to get it. >_> I am so through with that site. I am getting ready to leave there. Pan: I like watching discovery channel too, when i do watch tv (and i don't really watch a lot of tv) i mostly watch discovery, geo or animal planet. Aw it's to bad you can't see the garter, but it's still nice! =) There will always be something you buy you regret uh. I had that a whole lot too on another avatarsite. I am a little more careful here. I must say they made it much easier, that you can see what it looks like on your avatar. But you never know for sure until you buy it. Who knows maybe you can wear the white tie with something else some day. ^^ Honestly i think i forgot most of the names in the Gundam series. I think for me it's a couple of years back since i last saw it. Someone told me to go watch Clannad. Have you seen it? I am trying to get my hands on it now. They say it's a really good series. The valentine event here is awesome, together with the one on Caecus. There it was great too. And indeed much better then on the other site. I wasn't the only one being annoyed about it. Do you get your daily 500g on the games? or do you not bother to get there? for me it would take a whole lot of time to get to that amount i think wow. |
