Yeap, You are dutch right? Unless I misinterpreted the information in Valle & Solace's thread. There aren't many people in here that actually speak Malay I think ^^"

I am Dutch, yes.
I speak Dutch and English fluently.
There aren't other languages I speak fluently, although some semi-fluent, but I do fluently or semi-fluently read quite a few of them and semi-fluently understand them when spoken.

I know over there in the EU a lot of you guys are really multi-lingual, which is really cool since it will be so much easier to find a job in the future and you can even work across borders ^^ I can only really speak 2 languages fluently and some Chinese dialects which come our jumbled with English words :P But yeah, I usually understand them when they are spoken.
As like a lot of people here, I try hard with my Japanese but I don't exactly indulge in it full time. Just looking up the basics and stuff and it makes me happy when I can understand lyrics to a song and I know what they are singing about :P

I really haven't heard many people speaking Dutch honestly ^^" Even more that I am all the way in Asia so many of the European languages are not common at all here. the most common, apart from English of course is probably German. Some of my friends actually took it up back in high school.

Silenia; How are you?

Yeah. German is fairly well-spread, even if Spanish and French are more spread worldwide.
Dutch... I think perhaps 26 million people worldwide speak it. And not even all of them as their native tongue.
Leek: fairly okay. You?

Leek: Being mad at a friend actually is tiresome. I hope everything will end up well even if I'm not sure what happened. Hopefully things will sort themselves out. and about the cramps, just sit down and rest and they will get better. I'm not really sure if you are into taking pain killers but they might help too. ^^
Silenia: Ah yeah, Spanish is pretty popular here too because a lot of people watch the Spanish football league here and Spanish is quite a well known language in some parts of Asia, like the Philippines. And if I remember my history correctly, I think the Dutch have settled in my country last time when they conquered a part of it for awhile so there are a few Dutch settlements in some of the other states :)

Silenia; Mine are really bad.. D; and my period lasts a week, so i guess I won't be having such a good weekend.
Pancake; Well, she'll have to make it up to me, if you're really interested the two posts before yours in my thread are related to that. >_<;
I already took pain killers, I wouldn't be able to function unless I took pain killers, they cramp up so bad sometimes that I can't walk. I should actually be on the pill because it's so bad but i'd rather not be on the pill.

Silenia: I think so too because there is quite a lot of Dutch influence in Indonesia. We also had the Portuguese conquer us before. Then after that, it as the British all the way. Well, the Japanese too but that was during the war and for a really short time I think. ^^"
Leek: I'll go and read up on your friend situation after this post. then at least, I will know what had happened. And I don't really know much about taking the pill but it is supposed to lessen your period if I am not mistaken though it might mess up your hormones in general so I guess avoiding them is probably for the best. My periods give me cramps too but they are usually not so bad and last for only a few days but I absolutely hate the 2nd and 3rd days because the flow is always heavy and it makes me tired...

Pancake; xD Haha, okay.
The pill stops your period completely, it tricks your body into thinking your pregnant. The flow is heavy for everyday for me, so i'm always really tired when I get it. Plus, i'm anemic. >__>; So I get even more tired.
Silenia; -hugs- D; Periods should.. go die. ;__;

Silenia: I've actually never been to Indonesia but I know the cooking there has a little bit of the Dutch style. I really would like to visit the Netherlands. It sounds like a really pretty place from Discovery Channel ^^"
Leek: Ah, I only read that it lessens your period but it could have some other complications. And I doubt I could take them anyways because if my parents found the pills lying around anywhere, I would surely die! O.o My parents are quite conservative since I was raised in almost a traditional Chinese way so the pill will definitely give them the wrong impression and even if I explained, it wouldn't do much good ^^" But losing blood when you're anemic! That's horrible... I can't imagine how you can take it when you do your daily routine being so tired and all :(
