Actually, not lucky.
Somehow my period managed to stay irregular even with the pill.
Pa-pan: In some ways, yes. Other things, not.

Pancake; Yeah, well, it's meant to trick you into thinking your pregnant so an egg isn't released and therefore no period, no real pregnancy. xD; Side effects can include mood changes, morning sickness, bigger breasts, bloatedness, weight gain, and lots of other stuff. I have a few friends on it plus I was interested in it.
Same, my parents are quite conservative, I wouldn't know what they'd do if they found out.
Yeah, first day hits me the hardest though. D; Which was today, so I didn't go to my afternoon classes.
Silenia; I'd hate that more though, since right now my period is very regular, I get it every month and I can tell when i'm going to get my period. Although, i've skipped a month once or twice due to stress.

Leek: I actually never knew what morning sickness means =.=" But bigger breasts... That could be a plus! XD I am seriously flat like and airport runway being Asian and all so the bigger breasts thing helps XD but definitely not the gaining weight part O.o I'm trying my best now to lose weight so gaining weight is a definite nono. Especially since I have a wedding to attend soon and I already bought my dress ^^"I don't think any of my friends take the pill or not any of them is telling me but I think in our Asian culture, pill=bad. A lot of people will look at the negative sides first and emphasize on them >.<"
You're on your first day now huh? So hopefully if today is your worst day, it will get better from now on. Think of it that way? :)
Both: You guys are making my thread active! Thanks a lot! :)

Silenia; D; aww.
Pancake; Throwing up basicly. You have too much stomach acid and end up getting ill in the mornings. Pregnant people get oddly acidic stomachs. It could be, but i'm a very thin girl so bigger boobs would just be painful on my figure and just look odd. o__o;
Oooh, a wedding. I've never been too a wedding, or a funeral. I hope it's a nice dress. x3
Haha, I see. xD yeah, it's bad how in some cultures the pill='omg, they're having sex! sluts' sort of thing.
Haha. xD Nah, after this I either get -really- hungry or bloated. D;

Silenia: Its pretty funny though :) That my thread is active about talks of period ^^
Leek: Aiks, it sounds kind of horrible. Hopefully you didn't get that side effect while taking the pill. I'm quite thin too but tall? So I have a weird pear shaped figure with my boobs and waist being small but my butt is teh huge! XD Bigger boobs would definitely help so I have at least some kind of nice shape ^^" I haven't been to a wedding for awhile now. Or a funeral though i much prefer weddings for obvious reasons... But the dress is pretty! I've had it for a few months now. I just didn't find any suitable occasion to put it on. And yeap, sex before marriage here is like something forbidden! The older generations are really against it but the younger generation now is beginning to be more open minded about these sort of things.
Speaking of hunger, I am now getting hungry >.<"

Good morning Ash. Making my morning rounds of the threads now since I slept in and come to work late. *yawns* Sleeping in is the best sometimes, my body is thanking me for doing it, even if my coworkers are mad that they had to actually do some work *snickers*

To join in the conversation a bit, the depo-prevera shot actually stopped my period which was nice and evened my mood swings out. But the pill did terrible terrible things to my body and mood swings. Cramps were unbearable and I would spot in between periods with the pill. Not to mention have extra-super-duper heavy flows, which are never fun. *sighs* Sometimes mother nature can be a cruel bitch.
But there are always risks and stuff with using birth control, which is why I don't use them any more. My boyfriend and I practice safe sex with condoms.

I agree. I merely used the pill to see if it would be better for my periods - because whatever I do, I'd always use a condom. No need to catch STDs.

Condoms are a necessity no matter what, but birth control is a take it or leave it. There are many different kinds of pill with varying levels of hormones and what not. You might want to try a different type of pill. I know a few people on Yaz and they really like it.

As I am currently not in need of birth-control (not sexually active at this moment) I currently won't bother.
As soon as I will be again, I'll probably restart on the pill.

Kind of my philosphy too. My boyfriend is out of the country on deployment for the Navy, so there would be no need to start any type of birth control, although I have been thinking about it for when he gets back. Just not sure I want to pump chemicals into my body. Decisions, decisions.

In principe a condom should be safe if you use it right.
But using pill and condom is always more safe.

This is very true, both help with that screaming child thing 9 months later and the condom helps not getting a gift that keeps on giving. Really good with not getting one of those. >.< they scare me >.>

Indeed.
I do not like gifts that hurt, can cause infertility, infect others, can be deadly...
And I don't fancy becoming a mother before becoming an adult either. xD

How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?
And yes, I feel the same way about the whole infertility, pain, deadness. Not something that peaks my interest really.
Kids are something I am thinking about at this point, but more of the planning stages then anything else.
