Yeah last year I was living here on my own because My boyfriend was injured and couldn't move until he was done with his insurance claim. So he can down for my birthday and brought presents from my family and like one friend and I opened them and then we went out for lunch and dinner and the next morning he went home.. It was the most depressing 21st ever :stare:
Awe that's too bad about your dad. Are they divorced? My parents divorced when i was 3 and then my dad died when i was 6 so no phonecalls :XD

They were never married. My dad is a prick who thinks he's always right and if I don't do things the way he likes he sees reason to yell and upset me. Of course he's a total hypocrite as well... On my birthday he decided I was lying to him about applying for college because I hadn't heard back from them at all. -grumbles-

This year was my 20th.. my 18th was quite crappy as well... (In Canada so 18 is the legal age to go drinking) Basically the same thing..

One of my Ex's had a dad person like that who was living somewhere else. Except that he would call for his brother's birthday's to say hi but would never call for his birthdays, and would hang up the phone if he answered. I have no idea why 0.0?
Some people are just jerks.
My parents divorced because my dad drank a lot and once I was there my mom realized that while she could put up with it and decide not to drive with him when he was drunk she wouldn't always be around to protect me from a possible accident. And obviously if she was "putting up" with him she wasn't too happy anyways.
Ironically when my dad died it was in an accident because he'd been drinking and went off the road.
I'm Canadian too but in B.C. so at 19 my birthday was a dinner with my then boyfriend (a different ex :XD) and my parents at a local pub. And then a second dinner at my grandma's house with a hello kitty icecream cake :XD Oh the humility

I'm extremely shy in real life so that sorta effects that. :XP I'm perfectly fine over the computer. My shyness is rather crippling.. though I have to force it to a minimum at work because I work retail ><

I didn't even think of it as a bad birthday until a year or so later when a buddy's girlfriend turned 19 and we went out for dinner as a group of 7 friends who then went to a strip club and another bar that had karaoke :XD
And I was like...what did i even do at 19?...like nothing :P

I have very few friends because while I make them easily i never follow up or leave the house to go do anything very often :XD

I have two.. one I rarely hear from and now even less since the cell number she knew is now disconnected and she never responded to any of my messages telling her my new cell number. The other I speak with her online a lot but she doesn't have time to hang out much.. but I take care of her animals when needed. She's a childhood friend so even if we don't talk for a while we're still good friends. xD

I've done nothing as of late other than work, game and be on Mene though. :XP

I think I turn people off by refusing invitations so I'm trying to accept more. Only my one friend wants me to go on a road trip with a bunch of people i've met once :XD

Yeah, I don't get any invitations though.. my only way out of the house is work or going out with my mom. :XP

I stay just friendly enough to get invites. Many people have given up and don't bother anymore :XD

I said yes last time and got dragged to the next town in a cloak costume to have dinner with one girl from my work and 15 strangers for a 4 course medieval dinner :XD

That actually sounds rather fun though.. aside from being with strangers... at least it's good memories of a sort xD
