Mine fear the spoon. They know if it comes out and they do it again they will get a swat. It makes them behave better. I dont want to raise assholes who walk all over people.

lol Same here only when I moved in with my great grandmother it became the switch I will take the damn spoon any day over the switch.

mom had a paddle. she used it very rarely but if you earned it. BOY did you remember it. i mean you had to do somthing REALLY REALLY bad to get paddled. and if she didn't have the paddle it was the hand.. don't think we ever got spanked with a spoon or switch though..

I hated the switch. MAn that thing was the devil. My gramma would tell us to go pick one most of the kids brought back the smallest one they could find. I would bring back a branch lol because I knew it would break fast. Those little ones never broke just bended and left welps. And that woman would switch you till your switch broke or her arm got tires. My friends called her satan as I got older.
