I've been to Atlanta before, that airport is ridiculous.

Shit, ya know, your bags and stuff, not the pop a squat kind of shit, but it was pretty funny when I re-read it just now.

The Wandering Poet 03-29-2016 05:02 PM

Ooh bags... [lol]

Yeah it is... but all that baggage chaos is something I try to avoid. I take exclusively a carry-on bag.

Queen_Andais 03-29-2016 06:10 PM

There have been a few trips where a carry on is not sufficient space and I must take a larger suitcase.

What the hell happened to Menewsha? Seems like so many have gone quiet and disappeared. It's rather sad and depressing.

The Wandering Poet 03-30-2016 04:31 PM

True... but I suppose if I go for extended times I usually just get my clothes I brought washed.

Not sure... I work full time and I still find time to post when I can.

Queen_Andais 03-30-2016 05:13 PM

I am at work and I find time to post on here. Thankfully work doesn't block the site, then again we are a small company and this site doesn't pose a risk to anything.

The Wandering Poet 03-31-2016 07:57 AM

That's true. Though don't get in trouble :)

Queen_Andais 03-31-2016 03:47 PM

I will do my best to avoid the trouble. [yes]

Super excited! Dropped my truck off this morning to get new tint on the windows, upgraded to the really good stuff and it didn't cost me much more, so hooray! My truck will have super dark windows in the back and help reduce heat up to 60%, which is awesome for the upcoming summer. I took before pictures when I dropped it off, can't wait to see the after effects!

The Wandering Poet 03-31-2016 09:45 PM

Oh nice. Is back tinting that dark legal? I thought you could only slightly tint windows.

Queen_Andais 03-31-2016 10:40 PM

Here in Arizona you can tint the back windows as dark as you want, but the front windows for driver and passenger and windshield can't be tinted over a certain amount. Now, do I think the police will profile my truck because it has the dark tinted windows, probably. But the benefits of the tinting I am getting for reducing the heat in my car is well worth whatever bullshit the cops want to dish out. I have no warrants or outstanding tickets, hell I have never had a ticket for anything. Insurance and registration are paid for the year, no cause for pulling me over there.

The Wandering Poet 03-31-2016 11:46 PM

Ooh that's interesting... I never knew that.

Good to hear you are a safe and responsible driver. I rarely see any on the road these days people here don't use blinkers

Queen_Andais 04-01-2016 03:22 PM

I use my blinker and generally try to be a courteous driver on the road, however there are times when people push me too far and the bitch comes out. She can be a ruthlessly mean driver, never cause any accidents, but I can be very not nice. And now that I have the truck, best not to test me and the speed, the truck has a big engine and can get going pretty damn quick.

The Wandering Poet 04-01-2016 10:08 PM

Ah yeah I'm a super passive driver o.o I don't actually know what my horn sounds like I simply slow down and let the prick swerve in. I also assume a car will swerve in front of me at any time.

Queen_Andais 04-06-2016 09:02 PM

Totally! My dad raised us to be super defensive when driving, you always watch the pricks around you because you assume they don't see you there. Which kind of kills me now since I drive a big red truck, but whatever. There are times though that I offensive drive because dad also taught us that, there is a time and place for everything. [yes]

Is it just me or has menewsha slowed way down?

The Wandering Poet 04-07-2016 06:30 AM

Yeah, and especially those people pulling out of driveways and parking lots oh gosh they just fly out and slam on their breaks... it's like they want to kill someone.
I never learned offensive driving. o.o

Menewsha definitely slowed way down... almost to a screeching halt sometimes it feels like.

Queen_Andais 04-07-2016 03:07 PM

Backing out is one of those things that I try avoid when I can. much prefer to back into a parking spot or pull forward through to an empty spot so I am nose out. One of those things that dad taught me.

Offensive driving is much like defensive, the big difference is YOU are taking the openings before other people can and you actively prevent people from doing stupid shit in front of you to the best of your ability. As dad says, "Eat or be eaten" when it comes to driving. He grew up in San Francisco and you have to drive offensively there, otherwise you won't get anywhere.

Kind of scary how much this place has slowed down. Not sure I want to run a URE now...

The Wandering Poet 04-08-2016 11:30 PM

Ah I'm very bad at backing up. o.o very little practice. I sorta got a quick "this is how you drive" and am learning the rest as I go >.<

Yeah it is terribly slow, and I haven't a clue how to help it... I fear mene is going to disappear or something :( I'll miss everyone here if that happens... wouldn't be able to get ahold of anyone anymore

Queen_Andais 04-10-2016 07:48 PM

Not having Menewsha would be brutal for me as well. All the time and money I have put into this site would be a major loss in general.

My husband is out of town for the next couple of days and it feels weird for me. We aren't typically separated, vacations, or road trips are done together for the most part.

The Wandering Poet 04-11-2016 03:42 PM

Glad to hear an event is in progress though. Though Menewsha really does need more people... and I haven't a clue how to get Menewsha to seem more appealing.

Oh I know that separation feeling. My S/o and I are the same way when we are together... being apart afterwards just feels weird.

Queen_Andais 04-13-2016 02:16 PM

The weird part for me is being the one staying home. There have been a couple of vacations that we've separated, usually it's me going out of town and Rodd staying home.

I got through it and he was home yesterday when I got off work. Hooray

The Wandering Poet 04-13-2016 03:28 PM

Yay ^^
It's always so cute when couples are inseparable.

Shadami 04-13-2016 04:55 PM

Poet, my husband and I are very much in love with each other. And while it sounds like me gloating, but I have had friends tell me that they see how much we love each other with our actions towards each other. How we talk about the other person. Makes me feel good to hear that.
We constantly quote movie lines, television show lines, he games on his PS4 and I watch. He laughs hysterically watching me play on my Xbox 360, I get super frustrated super quick when I play. [XD]
Rodd makes me laugh and I make him laugh. Like the other day, after having adult time, we're laying on the bed naked and I am there blowing raspberries on his stomach and he's making commentary about it. [XP]
