Yea, I don't know why mean girls put me in that mood but it did. Not sure if it still does though.

Ohh, books? Do you have a favorite book and/or author?

Naisou 03-22-2009 09:28 PM

hmmm.....I like weird stuff...recently I've been into Robert Liparulo, Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti. They are all Christian Fiction Authors. But not like in your face Christian stuff, but pshycological weird stuff. XD

I like fantasy though, unfortentually I haven't had much time to read in a while because of school..bleh. But I am reading Catch-22 for a term paper, and its rather interesting....kinda bizzare though.

Mellie_AngelRose 03-22-2009 09:29 PM

I hate to have come and go.
But I'm to clean.
YAY...... not.

Naisou 03-22-2009 09:31 PM

lol, see you later Mellie. XD

Massage 03-22-2009 09:46 PM

I have Monster by Frank Peretti. I didn't even realize he was a religious author until I read the stuff at the back. Looking back I can see it. I just see stuff like that as character development and characteristics or whatever.

What kind of cleaning do you have to do Mellie_AngelRose?

Sorry about disappearing. Lunch. ^^;

Naisou 03-22-2009 09:50 PM

Yeah, I like the fact that the books are religious, and you can see it. But its not all about religion, which would scare off nonreligious people sometimes.

Liparulo is really good though, I read Comes a Horseman, and I want to read Germ soon, they're both rather gory at times.... Its fun...and the plot is interesting too.

Massage 03-22-2009 09:54 PM

Yea, I don't think I would seek out his other books though. I read somewhere that Monster was his least religious. After re-reading it, I don't think I could stand one with more religion unless that was what it was about. Like this fiction book I read called Cult.

Hehe. Gore is good, not without plot though. ^^

Naisou 03-22-2009 10:01 PM

Yeah, Comes a Horseman is about the apocalypse...and a group that wants to bring it..so this Norse guy is going around chopping off peoples heads with an axe and wolf dogs....and FBI Agents are trying to figure out why he's doing it. And then there's someone pretending to be the anti-Christ and he's killing people. So it has a lot of religious themes, but doesn't really force religion on you...but then again I'm Christian so I'm kinda biased...lol

Germ is about e-colia virus that is coded so that it only targets the people whose DNA is programed into it. Bio-chemical warfare..huzzah! lol, That's all I really know about it though.

Massage 03-22-2009 10:15 PM

Haha, it's not that it forces it on me, it just feels like the story goes out of it's way to include religion. It annoys me when I feel like the story is intentionally "stalling". Slows my 'into it' feeling.

The plots sound interesting though. ^^

Naisou 03-22-2009 10:18 PM

Oh....well,.... some people feel like they are forcing it on you, the really paranoid ones. lol

The book is interesting, and I believe it was his first novel. Could be wrong about that though....

Massage 03-22-2009 10:28 PM

Haha. I know. Some people are like that. Sometimes it does seem that way. I haven't encountered that from a book yet though.
Besides maybe my satanic bible. That wasn't a force as much as a this is what I think, I don't care if you like it! thing. An opinion piece I guess. Haha. ^^;

But yea. I like Stephen King. The Stand is my absolute favorite. :)

Naisou 03-22-2009 10:33 PM

I don't think I've actually read any of his books. O.o I've watched movies based on the books though and I've liked them, so I'll have to read one sometime....after school winds down. lol

Massage 03-22-2009 10:40 PM

I don't normally like movies based off of books but his always seem to do the book a decent amount of justice. ^^

I really want to see The Stand. I've read it about three times.

Naisou 03-22-2009 10:41 PM

Yeah, they always seem to cut out most of the book when they turn them into movies.

Like the third Harry Potter movie. *gag*

....you double posted...

Massage 03-22-2009 10:48 PM

Yea. That turned out rather horrible didn't it? D:

Naisou 03-22-2009 10:52 PM

Yeah it did.

Massage 03-22-2009 10:55 PM

I have no idea how the double post happened. I reported it. Seems to have been taken care of. ^^

Naisou 03-22-2009 10:57 PM

Yeah, my computer likes to randomly do that to me, even though I swear that I only hit the button once....

I'm gonna go now, gotta go visit my grandma. Talk to you later. XD

Massage 03-22-2009 11:00 PM
