So I'm awake at 2:00am my time and I guess I've got a bit of an announcement.

I've been really really busy lately and really stressed out too. I've been seeing a counselor at the university every second week for about an hour and every time I go there I end up bawling my eyes out and most of the time I'm not sure why I'm getting so emotional. The original reason I went was because of feelings of being overwhelmed and a bit depressed and because Jeremy was worried enough about me being sad all the time to ask me to please make an appointment. Since then it doesn't seem like things are getting better and I'm now in a position where I think I may fail the first midterm for each of my four courses all of which happen at the end of this week. I also don't think I'll be able to start feeling better until I manage to get rid of at least one of my current pressures school being the easiest.

I have a counseling appointment tomorrow..well I guess today actually, in about 9 hours, in which I'm going to read to my counselor a point-form summary of my problems and stresses along with the wish that she help me to drop my courses for "mental and emotional" reasons because it is too late in the term to choose to drop them myself. Because my "point form summary" is 3 double-sided notebook pages which took me an hour just to wright down I'm hopeful that there won't be any difficulties.

Just in case there are though and I end up stuck like this I just thought I'd better give a warning to you Menewsha friends that I either will be in a very panicky and otherwise fowl mood for the foreseeable future or I may just not be around for the next long while. Of course if it does work out I may be around more-often and in a much better mood, but your guesses are as good as mine.

It's definitely easier to write or type about things than it is to talk about them and you guys here and in some other threads who I'll have to link here have been really great and supportive during my whole time here which I hope continues for a long while and I'm really grateful for that. So I guess it's a kind of warning and a coming-clean since I'd hope that despite a few complaints most of you have found me to be a generally pretty happy and excitable person. Which is a person I'd like to be again soon.

Thanks for reading
Thulhu.

First of all, I'm glad that you feel all right to talk about that here. I'm hoping that typing it out is relieving the stress, even if it's just a little bit. =) Sometimes it really is easier to type things out and let it out. After all, we can be more coherent and precise when we type out words instead of when we say things out loud.

But anyhow, I really want you to know that I wish you all the best with the coming days, no matter what happens after your counseling or with your exams and subjects or anything. You know the situation best, and I'm sincerely hopeful that you'll be able to make the right decision depending on what's best for you. =) Just know that we're here to support you no matter what happens, and that you're always free to share your thoughts with us through rants or textwalls or whatever if you need to. We'll be here to listen and to wait for you if ever you do leave to take a break from it all. ^^ <3<3

Lots of luck and love your way, hopefully~! :'D <3<3

We totally understand, Thulhu
Life is very stressful, and school only makes it even more so. Its only natural to stress out, but I sure hope that you can relax soon. You sound like its getting pretty hard on you, and thats no good. We all want the best for you, and you've always been very kind to us.
I'll trust that dropping your classes may be the best choice for you health, and confronting your counselor about it is probably a good idea. She'll know what should work out best or maybe know some ways that'll make life a little easier on you.

I really do hope that things start looking up for you and that you can get everything all worked out. Thank you for being willing to share all that with us and trust us enough to be able to speak up. I wish you the best of luck with your future endevors, and hope that things brighten up for you.

I really, really hope your counselor listens to you! It sounds to me like you have good cause for dropping the courses.
There are a LOT of stresses in your life right now, it seems. Hopefully she will understand.

My nephew was having problems, and they let him drop his courses, even though he flunked them.
It was the counselor that helped him do that.

Good luck, Thul...and as the others have said... remember that we're here for you!

Thanks everybody, I knew that you'd all be supportive. In my counseling appointment she confirmed that I'm not just depressed and stressed but actually have "depression". Unfortunatly due to recent changes the report of a counselor is no longer all that's required for a medical withdraw, it helps to have a note from them but the dean of the department is going to need some kind of physician's note. And because my doctor is back in my home town and I've never talked with her about anything non-physical anyways there's no way to get a note from her. Here where I'm living I've been going to the walk-in clinics when I'm sick and they circulate doctors every couple weeks, it's like mandatory volunteer work for them to see people without family doctors, but I can't go up to one and say "Hi! you've never seen me before but I'm depressed! Can I have a note for school please?".

Hopefully when I go to my counselor-advised school's doctor appointment to ask about depression medication (which I am not really happy about... ha ha) he'll give me a note that's good enough for the Dean otherwise I don't know what I'll be able to get that will satisfy their strict procedural-ness. If I were to continue going to classes I would end up with terrible marks or even fail them which is why I'd rather withdraw then end up on academic probation so without a yes or no to my withdraw I guess I'm just going to stay out of classes for the rest of the week and try not to think about it. Although I'm not feeling the sense of relief I had hoped to find after today's appointment I'm aimed in the right direction.

My sweety JerBear has decided we should do valentines today so I've got to go and get "dolled up" for a dinner date so hopefully I'll be able to relax for that.

Have a nice dinner!

And I hope that they can get you a note that your Dean will accept. Definently best to not have them put a mark on your record. That wouldn't be very fair in this scenario.

I hope you had a nice, relaxing din-din, Thul!

The Doc at your school should be able to help, especially with a note from your counselor.
(We called the medical facility at our school the "Quack Shack".)

My first day in school, I had to visit the quack shack.

I was getting ready for classes, and was coming back from the bathroom. Pulled the door over my foot by accident, and ripped my big toe nail almost completely off.

PAIN!

Thanks ry it was nice. it's sucky though to see Jer looking at me with the concerned face saying he wishes he could help when there isn't anything he can do and also he's like the best thing I have going on. :P

Jeany were you wearing sandals or something?! I'm thinking of my universities bathrooms and that doesn't seem possible
