Hey, I finally got back online! Yay!
We were in the boonies. They advertised internet, but after the first day, it stopped working.

Now we're back to "civilization", and my datacard is working so I have access again! Yay!

We were going to see Frank Lloyd Wright's house, but they wanted $94 for the two of us to tour it.
Waaay beyond my budget for those kind of things...

Yeah I paid $500 for Alice in Chains tickets for Jer and I in October but it includes t-shirts and a meet and greet with the band and a cd and an album.

That's still pretty pricey, but if it's a group you really like, then it sounds more like a "once in a lifetime" opportunity.
It's easier to justify spending that amount for once in a lifetime opportunities...

Yeah it's Jer's favorite band ever, he's got a tattoo that's a modified logo from one of their albums with the name of his fav song of theirs written underneath. I'm trying to get him to ask them to sign around it and get it tattooed in the next day, but right after we're supposed to go to mexico for his lil sis's wedding and with a new tat he'd need to wear sleeves and stay out of the pool/ocean.
I think the compromise is that we might get them to sign a piece of paper and get the tattoo guy to copy it when we get back.
I'm not even sure if I'm going to mexico with him, we really dont have the $2000per person to go and his grandma offered to pay for him to go and not me.
It's in October but that's 6 months before our wedding which I'm paying for out of my money for school, so even if someone else offered me the money to go I'd rather spend it on the dj and decorations or the starter soup or salad and the cake.
But at the same time Jer really doesn't want to be without me for a week in Mexico where he's not interested in going anyways so he's kinda hoping that I'll spontaneously be able to. Problem being that they want the $4000 the beginning of next month... so times running out for me to warn them I'm not going.... sigh they say you can't choose your family but it looks like once you fall in love you get stuck with your hubby's family too XP

I think it's very unfair for them to expect you to spend all that money to attend a wedding out of the country like that!

I talked with Jer last night and it's stressing out both of us, in the end though not going to the wedding means I have to stay stressed until november because of anticipating Jer having to go and listening to ppl talk about going on this "family vacation" wedding and knowing I'm not included. But If I just give in give up and go the stress of her wedding ends now and I can instead worry about work and school and earning back that money. :P
Plus Jer's super afraid of heights and flying and he thinks that if i'm not there supporting him he won't be able to get on the plane

Maybe if you go, then his relatives will feel they need to give you a REALLY GREAT present for your wedding!

Awe, I'm going to say that if they can they should wear my wedding colors, cause we're all celebrating, i think it's silly to tell people not to wear your wedding colors after you spent so much care and money making sure that everything else is in those colors. It's not required but it's nicer to ask for than telling them what not to wear i think

That's a cool idea.
If everybody wore at least a little of your color, it would look really cool.
