I'm really excited right now, because auditions for the fall play are really soon and I get to practice my monologue with my director on Monday after school. I'm doing something really special with it too; since it's a play within a play, I'm auditioning as the character in the play auditioning for the character she plays in the play within the play. 8D
Also, they announced the spring musical and it's The Phantom of the Opera. :squee: So I've been listening to that album on repeat and practicing Christine's parts. >w>; [/ramble]

I know, right??? My school does the coolest musicals! Last year we did RENT, the year before we did Footloose and the year before that, we did Chicago. :DD

And the year before that you did Forbidden Planet! Or was it that other one that Almond directed that no one saw...D: or maybe that was just some random guitar performance? Man, I can't remember anything...

The year before was Godspell, and I think the year before that was Forbidden Planet. :3

Haha, nobody ever really talks about it. They just say "Aww, Godspell..." and nothing else. I heard they wore deatheater robes, Melissa wore something bright and won a lead from someone who dropped out and there was confetti...

I know, right??? Nope, it's just a plain' old high school. We've just got an amazing drama/choir program. Not much budget for it, but we do fundraisers. :3 And in my opinion we're better than the special art school in my district. :talk2hand:

@KT- I dunno, I guess it just pales in comparison to Chicago and RENT... just like Footloose. Nobody talks about Footloose anymore. xD
And I think they never even filled more than the front section of the audience until RENT... maybe a bit into the second section for Chicago...

They totally filled it for Chicago! GOSH :D I very much enjoyed Chicago and have entirely forgotten Footloose perhaps? And Rent pleased meeee

I can't blame people for forgetting Footloose. I've seen the movie, it's terrible. :gonk: No amount of good actors can save that story.

RENT was amazing, and I only remember Footloose because I was in it and it was my first lead role. >_> Oh and I liked one song from it too. "Somebody's Eyes" was my fave. :3

@Chrissy- The movie is god awful. The stage version is 100 times better. It's actually a musical instead of just a movie with some background music. :roll:

How's the storyline? The movie was just completely nonsensical. There wasn't a scene that made sense. :lol: The dialog was so awkward and it constantly felt like scenes had been cut out but they hadn't done any editing to make up for it. @[email protected]
