When I first got it, I vowed I would never play on Beginner mode, but I did start out on Easy. I still haven't gotten up the nerve to play SH3 on normal. Maybe next time. >_>

Facade - I know what you mean. I'm like that with everything.
What you need to do is realize that you'll never get good by your standards without practice. So sit yourself down, and give yourself permission to do something "bad." Test the boundaries, try a new style. Promise yourself you'll never show anyone and tell yourself you can delete it all when you're done, so there's no pressure.
Just practice. If that means writing a short story about getting a bowl of cereal, then so be it. Just give yourself permission to be less-than-perfect and it'll be so much easier on you. Trust me, it's worked for me.

Brianna - Oh really? I was raised on video games. Though I haven't beaten many myself as I'm pretty awful. :lol:

The only game I've ever beaten...Sonic 2 on Sega Genesis. Getting close to beating Need for Speed: Most Wanted, but just haven't had the drive (pardon the pun) to get on there lately.

I am and I did! I was a bit scared when I realized you couldn't choose your difficulties, but the game adapts to your suckiness, so it's all good, I guess. It's probably going to give me really easy riddles since I sucked so bad with that first locked door. >_> It was so OBVIOUS, too! Dx

I have to write a review of SM, and I've written all the stuff they said before releasing the game and summaries of the first 6 games (it was HELL, but I've got more than 1,000 words already. Spamp (teacher) will probably make me take bits out, and Luke (fellow copyeditor) will probably hate me forever. xD). So, now all I have to do is write my opinion of the gameplay, story and compare it to the other SH's I've played (but not specifically, thankgod) and to other videogames in general (using John and Hammy for that bit. xD) Gahhhh, now you've made me TL;DR about SM again! >:U

@Andais- I'm the same way. I'm HORRIBLE about video games. I probably could've beaten several more, but I never feel like it and now they're in a box stacked under several other boxes in my garage. >_>

My parents allowed us precious little time on the game systems so we never got in the habit of constantly playing. Probably why I've never beat a game other then Sonic2. Even now, I have a Wii, a PS2 and a PS3...play the Wii more then anything else because it gets you moving.
