Yeah...I think even my movements as Harry give her motion sickness, so she just plays while I watch.
|
Do you make Harry stumble around like a drunken sailor?
... I play while my sister watches. ... She doesn't play cause she's chicken. |
Heheh almost.
I'd say that this is the only Silent Hill game that I refuse to play because it gives me motion sickness every time that I try. xD |
What time do you guys play?
I refuse to play while the sun is still up. The later the better and always with the lights out. |
We always tend to play during the night time hour as well. That's usually the best time for a game like that, but we don't have the lights out. Usually, Hammy turns her more dimmer lamp on while we play. :P

I remember when the first Silent Hill came out back in '99. I had seen a commercial for it and was intrigued. I had played the first Resident Evil, but wasn't too interested in the series. I was, though, a fan Clock Tower, which, in hind sight, weren't the best quality games. But I still liked them.
Anywho, went down to Blockbuster, back before it was crippled by NetFlix, and rented Silent Hill, thinking it may be something like Clock Tower. I waited all day to play it and finally when evening came, I turned off all the lights, popped it in my PS1 and began. I didn't get very far cause it freaked me the hell out and had to stop. When Harry goes down the alley and gets attacked by the Grey Children (AKA Mumblers), that's what did it. It was shortly thereafter that I knew I had to own the game. ;D |
Haha, I remember playing Resident Evil first off. I started off watching people play because I was too scared to play it myself, at the time. Resident Evil 2 was actually the first installment that I had played. Even now, I'm still a huge fan of Resident Evil, but the series started sucking after Resident Evil 4. ANYWAYS, moving on.
I had never seen any commercials for Silent Hill, but my neighbor friend's dad (who was also the one who got me into Resident Evil) also had a copy of the first Silent Hill. I couldn't borrow it, but they would let me play it whenever I came over. I think, when I first played it, I got as far as the school and the piano puzzle always stopped me from advancing. I was a little cheater pumpkin eater and looked up the answer, but was fine from that point on and eventually beat it after some odd number of days playing it. And that was how I became a Silent Hill as well as a Resident Evil fan. |
I always buy guides. That's cause i'm the kinda gamer that likes to do everything in a game and it really bothers me when I miss something. :P But when it comes to a puzzle, I always try to figure them out myself.
Ever play Clock Tower? |
When it comes to puzzles I am that way also, but after trying to many times, and ending up stumped, I resort to guides.
I have not played clock tower but that is merely because I never got the chance to. I've heard a little about it like...you're running around, solving puzzles, while avoiding this unkillable guy who is out to get you. |
They're kinda goofy and Clock Tower 2 makes no sense at all. But like said, I like 'em. ;P
|
We all like what we like for our own reasons. ;)

*keeks Demo for having such awesome avatars*
xD; Lol, howdy, with a description like that, I'm not surprised you like Clock Tower. |
*kicks Hatake back for having such a yummy aveetar as well* D:<
Yours makes me think of lemon cake... ;-; |
I'm tempted to have an affair with this yellow.
 I want more orange though! |
Oh yes...some orange placed here and there on your avi would be sooo delectable...
|
Lol, I don't even KNOW of that many orange items.
:gonk: |
Oh there's plenty of orange items, you just haven't seen em yet. :D
|
Lol, I have a few.
*bork* Meh, unsure of these new additions. |
I likes them... :O
You kind of remind me of that V8 Splash drink. I loves that stuff. |
*runs in and molests Bri and then high tails it out of the thread*
|
Everything's happening so fast! All the talking and the colors and the molesting!
My siblings always watch me play SH all of us used to be big ol' pansies about it, but now we're pretty numb to the scary. And I always end up using the guide for my first playthrough. I try to play through on my own, but then I get horribly lost and it's bad. Like, in the very beginning of SM, I couldn't find my way out of that cluttered area where Harry crashed. That's how bad I am at not getting lost. :gonk: @Howdy- I got mumblers confused with larval stalkers for a minute there and I was like "Awww, you got scared of being gang-raped by adorable? Awwwww." |
@Anna PSH and you mocked me for getting stuck on the first nightmare sequence? :talk2hand: At least I could get out of the car crash place
|
Ahahaha atk's got you there, Anna.
|
Being able to find things and being able to outrun monsters are COMPLETELY different. ,:C KT and I just have different skeelz, tha's all. ,:C
|
My flailing is just more efficient than yours. Other than that you got me beat :gonk:
