I think they're trying to gauge how difficult to make the events, because the last one might be considered too easy. So this time around wasn't a frolic in the woods, and anyway I suppose we're due for an event that will have rarer items in the end.

A lot of people feel the same, and I agree. I like the nurse dresses and heels, hairpins, and sashes.

Honey, it's the same story for a lot of us. It's why I am pretty darn certain they've made it such that trying to get commons through event currency is more a pain. They got tired of people selling them back for the gold (... some folks actually needed) and here we are now. ^^ While I don't mind not being able to get everything I want, I'd like to get half; I didn't have a long list AT ALL, I never do.
I was able to get a handful of items though, I'm sorry you couldn't get more. I am NOT spending gold on an event if I can help it, too much to quest for. :hug:

To do that every event, with a lot of the items, ja I can see how that might mess the economy up xD I remember selling stuff back simply because, I didn't like the items as much as I thought I had. One event week is only barely enough, for me to decide if I really want the stuff, now. That's one reason I've become even more picky about what I like; I don't want to buy it and then not want it a week later.
I didn't ever sell directly after the event though, it was usually quite a few weeks later when I realized I didn't want whatever it was. Occasionally, I am "ugh" to say, I had to sell back stuff because I really needed the gold to buy something rare. That didn't happen but a few times though, since I've always been pretty good with getting gold together through posting.
