Hey there! I'm Clockwork Lime, and I welcome you to my humble quest of incredible madness.

I joined Mene a few months ago (I can't remember the actual date, sadly), and am tired of not having any real goals for my hard-earned gold. So, I've decided to start my own quest thread!

I'm a 21-year-old English major. My birthday is March 20th! In my spare time, I stalk Mene, write, play the piano and bass, and hang with my wonderful fiance and our cat, who has a personality disorder.

Basically, I'm questing for anything kooky, crazy, colorful, or downright weird. I love me some quirky items, and thankfully, Mene has no shortage of them. <3

Speaking of Veruca Salt, which film version did you like better--the Gene Wilder, uber-trippy one or the one with Johnny Depp and his Daddy Issues?

Honestly, I like both of em. The Gene Wilder one, hell, I grew up with that one. It's a classic and will always have a spot in my heart. I did like the Johnny Depp one was fun for what it was. It was trippy and weird, but I still had fun with it. I know a lot of people hated it...Meh...I had fun...

I liked both as well, and comparing the two is sort of like trying to compare apples and oranges (forgive the cliche). I think the Gene Wilder version will always have a place in my heart just because it's so weird and wonderful, but the newer one is awesome in that it follows the book more closely. That, and Helena Bonham Carter is pretty much a MILF (in the film and irl). ;p

My fiance totally just assumed that because I have a pic of our kitty on the front page of this thread, I want a hat made out of him. Lulz! Also, I've managed to buy two hats so far! Huzzah!

Update: I just purchased the Sweetly Strawberry Hairpin! Woot!

I'm putting "Mad as a Hatter" on hiatus for the moment, because I realized that I have very little in the way of actual clothing. My new quest is "Whink at Me"; I'll be questing most of the pink&white items on Menewsha. I will return to MaaH once I'm finished with this quest and have more of an actual wardrobe. :)
