I don't think things scared me much as a kid. its probably why I'm not put off by even the most disturbing material nowadays.

i scared easily as a kid. nowadays movies still scare me... it just gets into my brain and then i cant sleep.

I think the things that should scare people just don't affect me. it has to be reality to scare me. fiction won't do. dolls do creep me out though.

I never consider my bloody dreams as nightmares. I had a dream recently with lots of bodies floating in the water and my and my brothers decided to catch the murderer and then it turned all indiana jones and the I wasn't in my dream anymore...

eh random things scare me.

my bloody dreams aren't normallly nightmares but this one most definitely was and it kinda featured a real lifeish situation. at least at the start.

well, what happened in the dream?

i basically drempt that a prisoner had escaped from one of the prison's around campus and had gone on a murdering spree. One of the murderers had taken place very close to our apartment. (though for the way the blood was in our apartment it would have had to have taken place in their in real life. blood was bascially splattered all over the walls and floor of our kitchen area and other places, it was bad). Well anyway my roommates and i (plus my sister) had barricaded ourselves in our apartment cuz we were freaked and didn't want to be murdered. Well we are all freaked out and standing their and not sure what to do cuz we know the prisoner and near and in walks this person. We almost shoot them but we figure out it's one of our friends and we relax, a bit. but then discover that the way the friend got in is our apartment is riddle with secret passages to get in. The biggest one is underneath our fridge, so we go around our apartment barricading all these secret passageways. Then I think time skipped a bit (and some stuff happened that i don't remember) but it kinda resulted in us kinda having to go out and face the murderer (we basically had the knowledge that we are going to die). The last thing I remember before I wake up is texting my mom 'I love you.'

and i know it's not that scary in all but the thing is I judge a nightmare for me by how i feel when i wake up. if I wake up terrified and have to convince myself for an extended period of time that it was a dream. and that is what happened last night.

but that's a really creepy dream! that I will agree with. my dream never reflect reality to that degree so I have no reason to fear. your dream is real though.

yeah, nightmares for me usually are lame in actuality, but since I'm never emotionally attached to dreams, only those few lame nightmares actually scare me.

yeah it was really closely connected to reality, which is abnormal for my dreams. and mostly i don't have nightmares. i haven't had one in a few years actually until last night so it was weird and random and creepy. but my dreams are definitely more action/adventure fantasy

I haven't had a nightmare in years either I think. though I might count the dream the dream where some guy killed himself. it wasn't scary in the dream, but eerie and real.
I really prefer my adventure/fantasy dreams. they're fun!

i prefer those dreams too. they are such fun. especially considering that mine our usually 'save the world' mission dreams.
