For lunchtime, depending on the place.. in sit down restaurants it's like 8-10 for a lunch entree. Fancier places will go up to like 14 dollars. (US dollars)

Whoa what the heck?! It's probably the same owner monopolizing the people's tastes for thai food. D:< And it always helps to go to places where the people actually enjoy the food.. in China it's like a rule to stay away from seedier and empty looking places because they usually have a bad rep with the locals. Sometimes they are gang fronts too. xD
I know one time I got massive food poisoning on the way from Hong Kong to Guangzhou.. ruined my vacation. ;_;

I don't know about you but I'm always on the lookout for good restaurants, and when some places actually deserve business but don't get as much due to competition, I feel bad for not eating there. T_T

I know! It's so very confusing, at least you will always get to eat Thai if you're hungering for it. Something weird though, is that all of them open for lunch at 5:30 or 6. Never earlier. I'm not sure if this is a tradition or what not.... Gang fronts!! Gangs have always been a thing i've heard of and never seen. I wonder where they hide..?! And aww, that's sad. :( I don't think i've ever had food poisoning before, or at least recently (in the last 10 years) haha, I find puking so uncomfortable and it hurts.

Same. I'm always on the look out for restaurants with interesting dishes. I went to this cafe that sold bacon, banana, french toast and maple syrup and i was like [drool] love it! Apparently it's really common in America? But I have no idea. Maybe you would be more knowledgeable about it. ;3

A dish with meat, grains, and veggies. Like a plate full of all the stuff you eat at dinner. That's the best I can describe it I guess. [sweat]

My guess is that if you've never seen 'em then you don't have to worry about them. I think it only applies in areas that aren't safe. I know I've never seen any myself. Sure there are stupid wanna be gang thugs but those don't count as real gangs. xP
You too?! Oh man I think puking is awful. Any time I even talk about puking my body does this thing where it freaks out and tries as hard as it can to not puke. My mom kind of made me paranoid though.. she would always talk about how puking is one of the worst things your body can do, yadda yadda. I hope I don't freak you out though! ^^;

LOL that is like an average American breakfast.. you don't eat all that stuff at once but you would typically find all of those available for breakfast in restaurants. *nod*

Oh wow. That's crazy... Here an average dinner at a sit-down is around $16 or so. For a mainly meat/fish etc. dish it would go up to around $20.

I know. O.o *phew* I've seen my fair share of stupid people too. Haha. :) Bleh I can't stand it! My sister went through this phase 2 years ago when we were in Taiwan, after each meal, she'd just keep making puking faces, and actually puked several times. At least once every few days. It was horrifying. You never know when she would let rip! At one point she puked on the sidewalk... And I was walking behind her.. And nearly walked straight into her puke that was the same colour as the ice-cream she had ate a few minutes ago. *shudders at memory* And your mum is right, I think it wrecks havoc on your throat that isn't use to the acidity. > <

Anyways, for dinner the prices go up around 4-5 dollars here, but the type of stuff available for dinner is better too.
So you can do lunch specials for cheaper and get more food, but you're limited usually to burgers and whatnot. :x Tonight my boyfriend and I went out for dinner cause it's our 23 month.. spent about 35 bucks for a soup w/ breadbowl, and two entrees. e_e

Reasons why I'm glad to be living where I am right now. None of that gang mumbo jumbo here. ^_^

To get dark red you have to fiddle around with the highlight options. It's a little bit unintuitive but it makes for a lot of variety! <3

Yep, I don't know if she had a really bad tummy bug or what not, but she's throw up almost after any meal. She couldn't have cold drinks with meals, cos that would make her throw up. She cpuldn't eat till she was full, because apparently that triggered it too. It was a lot of avoiding her when she made a belching face, actually. [XD]

Time flies like you wouldn't believe! I'm turning 20 soon and it still feels like just yesterday that I was at high school. Maybe it gets kinda difficult to make friends like that after leaving a school setting. When you're in school it's super easy to gravitate towards people cause everyone else is also looking for friends even if just to make school life a little more bearable. My boyfriend is the same way too.. only talks to his absolute closest friends, and doesn't really take interest in other people, besides me. :P
