Suzanne Sky's Newbie Quest
Hello everyone! I'm new and have been told that it is good to keep a list of what you are questing for, so you can chart your progress. [idea] For me, it is something to keep me focused and help me to not get side-tracked. There are soooo many cool things here, it can be totally overwhelming. [vicky] I know I haven't even seen them all yet. So I will be keeping my list here.
I have many hobbies and interests. Some of them are cooking (sometimes!), art (painting, collage, assemblages, shrines, books, and oddball things like hanging painted shoes from trees, etc.), reading, writing (badly!), letterboxing (although I haven't done any in quite a while, but it is the coolest hobby ever!), nature, old cemeteries, history, native plants, gardening, permaculture, farms, folkways, video games (all Sims, most Harvest Moons, Viva Pinata, Animal Crossing, etc. - yeah, even the childish ones...), and of course the internet... and a million other things. I have to say I am never bored, and hardly understand the concept. LOL! Some of my special 'thangs' or motifs are bees, trees, pumpkins, skies, bats, chickens, and owls. Ohmygosh!!! I am majorly questing for the new DOWN ON THE FARM set! That is my #1 priority item now! :) Received gold from _Mem_ to buy it! THANKS!!!! I finally got the money to buy those rugged jeans in dark denium, so changed into them, but then I found out the t-shirt that I had bought in the Marketplace yesterday was for males only. I couldn't equip it. Darn! But live and learn. But, gosh the jeans look so cute with the boots I also bought yesterday, that I am just going to wear this outfit anyway. My bra could conceivably be a halter top or something, right? Anyway, I will get a t-shirt or some kind of plain top as soon as I can get the money earned. LOL! Right now, I could buy some of my lower cost items, but I think I am going to save, at least for awhile, in hopes of finding a Kawaii Kon shirt to buy. Does anyone know if those come out in the Marketplace very often? How expensive are they usually?

I'm not familiar with them. Have you checked the marketplace to see if there is any data about release dates or cost?

Yeah, I did, but just couldn't find them for the longest time. BUT, in browsing and reading around the forums, I saw someone mention a Hawaiian Rainbow shirt, so searched that, and there it was. I guess I need to edit and change the name. Maybe Kawaii Kan was the name of an event and not the name of the shirt, like I thought it was. I have a feeling it is going to be expensive to impossible to find.

I quested for a welcome shirt for a while and they were incredibly rare. I was able to attend a con in 2007 or 2008 I think and have one that way. Are the shirts you're looking for given to people who show up for cons or just limited edition in shops? Obviously, I need to check this out!!

I really don't know. In searching for it in the market place one of the tags is 'special'. So I'm not really sure what that means. It says the last sale for that item (female one) was in May of 2013 and it sold for 10g. However, that is the only sale that was ever done for that shirt, so I'm guessing it is pretty rare and anyone who has one is holding on to it. But I watch the Marketplace closely, whenever I am on, so I may come across one yet.

Hmmm... curiouser and curiouser. I'll poke around a bit and see. I've tried searching the quest and buy/sell/trade threads but the search function doesn't always pull things up. Not sure why. Keep checking the trade/sell threads in Menewsha Exchange. Sometimes people have things listed for sale/trade there.

OHMYGOSH! I am so happy I didn't give in to temptation and spend my gold on some of the other things in my quest list. I am MAJORLY questing for the new DOWN ON THE FARM set, now! It is my number one priorty quest item. There is one listed in the market place, and if I can earn the gold to buy it, I will. Look for me to be very, very chatty! Hahaha!
