My teacher was asking for " x +2y +pir(square) = 30. express it as a function. How do you get the answer and how do you know you're right?"

@suki: well, it's not analyzing since it's only HS... i was just more of asking for the history... ^^; or what seito said about just how to do this or this on stuff that they already learned... ^^;

@seito: as for the x + 2y + pie(squared) = 30... solve for y... graph it on a graphing calculator... if for every x, there's only one y, then it is a function... ^^;
or on the graph... the vertical line rule... ^^;

but yeah, i stayed up back then for math... mostly stats tho... i don't think i worked too hard for calculus and stuff like that... didn't get the best grades, but passed... XD

ee. Calculus. >.< I disliked that class very much. My professor had a romanian accent and was difficult to understand and whenever we didn't get something said that back in Romania the children were doing these math problems back in middle school and that we needed to stop being so slow. ;.; It was horrible.

I do remember that I liked some of the stuff though. I just can't remember any of it XD

yeah, i have to honestly say that of all the math i've taken, calculus was my least favorite... >.<

yeah, i don't mind sine, cosine, and tangent much either... actually i personally love proves... however, i just don't like calculus... XD
