Gaming is fuuun. xD I have so many games to finish, almost 100%'d TWEWY though. x3
It's just gotten worse, my gaming addiction since now we have a PSX. PS2, PS3, Wii and DS. XD;; .. and games are getting cheaper due to the recession.. so cheaaap. edit AND a JB hi fi and EB games opened up REALLY close to where I live. |
Woah, you have a lot of consoles. =O We have the PSX, PS2, PSP, and the DS. We're getting a Wii for our den when it's completed (it's being constructed as we speak xDD). My brother can't wait for it. 8DD;;
And that's real convenient for you then. =P <3<3 |
Yeah, we do. xD I still want a PSP and my own DS, or maybe a DSi since it looks sorta cool. xD
All my stuff is playstation, and all my sisters stuff are the nintendo things. XD Wii is reaaallly fun. xD; I didn't expect it to be, but it is. x3 I still need to get Zelda for it though. >_> Not so much, I can't spend money cause I owe so many people money. |
Wii is a family thing. xDD;; Only reason we're getting one is because my brother made my parents try it, and they loved it. 8DD;;
And aww. :< At least it's nearby then if you want to buy something? :> <3<3 |
Haha. xD At least thats one good thing.. but then again, you might have to fight with them to play on it. >_>
It depends on what it stocks. >w> they don't always have the games I want.. since each store has different traded in games. |
Well, true, but I don't mind. xDD;; My brother can keep himself occupied with another console while I try the Wii. 8DD;;
And really? =O Ohh, I see. I don't know much about these things. ^^;; |
Lol. XD Well most Wii games are multiplayer, like Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Mario/Sonic Olympics.
haha, and then some stores just have different games for sale, like one had Disgaea 2, but none of the other ones have ever had that game. XD; So yeah, I always pop into Eb to see if they have of the more unknown games I want, and when they do i'm always like 'Oh em gee. why don't I have any money!!" |
True~ :> It's why it's a great ice breaker sometimes. xDD;;
And do they take reservations though? =O I know some stores here do. ^^;; |
Mm, yeah. ^^ I love Wii.
Yes, they do! but only for like a few days, apart from that, it's usually when it's a week before I get paid so I just hope it's there. Although i'm friends with the guys that work at Game Traders, they hold things for me for like 2 weeks, great guys they are.. but they know I spend lots of money there |
I love WarioWare and Raving Rabbits. xDD;; <3<3
And, well, I guess they would be loyal to you if you're loyal to them in return. =P My brother is friends with the clerks from where he buys his games. They're pretty updated in all fields, surprisingly. =O They even text him to tell him if a new game just came out. 8DD;; |
I would like a Wii. :<
But then even if I do, I won't have the time to play it. Heck, I've not touched my PS2 in months and it's sitting there right beside me. xD |
|
What do you do in those games? xD
lol, xD I'm friends with them.. >w> I go in there and we spend like... two hours or more talking. XDXD; Haha, I usually already know when a new game is going out, they tell me about events the store is doing though.. and once they gave me a discount on a discount. XDXD Which was brilliant... and I get instant discounts. >w>; Like I go there, even though the game is already used and cheap like $25 for KH2, they sold it to me for $15. XD; |
*waves at Ryl and SLS*
Iro has been rather busy with rl matters for the past two weeks. Very mind killing. Didn't have enough brain power to come into Mene after. Feeling less warped today. :lol: O_o SLS gets her games at a very good price. And the store is nice too. But then again, I don't have an exact game shop I visit regularly. I hop between a few depending on which gets the stock first. xD |
@ Leek : They're basically multiplayer games, and you do random crazy stuff. xDD;; Like, shake the remote, sway from left to right, and, whatever. >.>;; We play what we feel like. 8DD;; Our favorite is football, Raving Rabbit style. 8DD;;
And oohh, that's awesome for you then! :> See? It pays to be friends with people you buy from. xDD;; <3<3 @ Iroro : You ninja. D: </3 Lolz. xDD;; <3 And aww, I know what you mean. :x I've been real busy myself. D: </3 I hope the stress isn't killing you though. x_x;; |
Iro; xD He even cleaned the disk for free! Which made me laugh. XD;
Haha, I guess that what I get for chatting to them. x3 I usually try to save money and go there and buy games in bulk, then they give me an even bigger discount. I usually never get games when they just come out. >_>; I'm too lazy and I already have other games I need to finish. XD;; Ryl; Thats awesome! ^^ I want to try to play them now. >w> xD; haha, it just turned out we had alot in common, both geeks, both gamers, both cosplayers, both conventioners, both read alot of anime/manga. XDXD; Yep, and we both have the same taste in games, RPGs. xD;;; |
@Rylynne:
I r supaa ninja. I hast l33t ninja skeelz. Ph3ar meee.... :ninja: *bricked* Nah, I'll live. Not enough to kill me yet, but enough to cause a minor short-circuit in my brain. xD Hope yours isn't killing you, though. ~_^ @Spanish Leek Squared: lol I don't usually clean my discs unless I the disc really can't read. But yes, that's really nice of him. Customer to friend. Reminds me of my friend who is a loyal customer of one particular game shop. Even before the game arrived, they would hold the game for him even when they're out of stock and the game's high in demand and he took a while to pick it up cause he was busy. |
@ Leek : GO PLAY THEM! They're especially fun when you're high and happy
And that's cool. :> Seems like a lifelong friend then? 8DD;; @ Iroro : Pfft, you flatter yourself too much. ]:< Lolz. xDD;; And oh, I've had several brain-damaging insanities occurring this month. >.>;; The latest was just a while ago, when I took one of my finals. x_x;; The essay portion was LOOONNNGGG. And, lemme repeat, it was LOOOONNGGGG. @[email protected];; |
Aww, shucks. *flails hand*
How many thousand words was the essay, Ryl? O.O |
*sprays Iroro with water to stop the flailing*
xDD;; And I have no idea. >.>;; There were three in total, but each was, like, HOMAIGAHD. D8> We had test booklets. I used three. D: Well, we were only allowed to use one side of the booklet, but STILL. @[email protected];; It was practically one booklet per essay (not including the other parts BEFORE the essay portion >.>), and my hand was dead afterward. >.>;; So many people ran out of ink during the test, even the dude who brought three pens. xDD;; |
*is dripping wet* D:
Three... test booklets... That sounds very painful. @[email protected] How many hours was the test? You must have really been speed writing all those. I can imagine those who took the test massaging their poor wrists and hands after the paper. xD" |
Iro; Yeah, same. XD; Usually they charge something to do that, but since it was for free, why not. x3 Plus it was a used disk, might as well get it cleaned.
Thats nice. XD I usually don't get new releases, i'm not too fussed if it's a used game, plus it's cheaper then. >_>; Ryl; Lol. XD I can't, I don't know anyone who has those games. Maaybe? I haven't seen him there recently though. D: -always pops in when shes in the city- xD;; |
Yes, I have to agree that used games are much cheaper. But for good and popular games like Phoenix Wright and The World Ends With You (NDS games xD), even the used games are still costly. I remember a used TWEWY cartridge costing about 50 dollars (the original was about $76, if I recall right) and cringed. xD"
|
Iro; I found one for about $40 the other day.. but yeah, I know what your talking about. @[email protected] But uh, hmm, depends on the area you live. XD; Here pheonix wright games aren't that popular, hard to find actually, but not that expensive, I think I saw one game for about $30 the other day. Here, more gamers are into the FPS's.
|
I suppose so. Regarding the area, I mean. xD
Of course, it depends on the series too, I think. The 2nd installment is not as popular, so that one I can find many and for rather decent prices too. It's the third installment of that series that's a bit difficult, and the first is almost non-existent in shops already. :lol: (Thank goodness for emulators. *cough*) But there's one policy I like (and admittedly abuse when I could) about most of the game shops I know. If there's one other place selling the game cheaper, you can get it for the cheaper price instead. *digs internet catalogues for cheapest price, prints and shoves it in front of cashier* <.< >.> <.< |
