Yes! You must taste them! They are awesome.

ToriKat 06-02-2010 11:12 AM

O_____O MOCHI ICE CREAM! <3

They're so good...but so expensive. D: *wants more than a few in the box*

Seito 06-02-2010 11:20 AM

Yeah I know! They're a real treat whenever my mom caves and buy them. *drool* If I could I would buy so many of them.

Suona 06-02-2010 05:51 PM

Aaaw. Expensive? D:
I most likely wont get them, then. I'm a cheap ass. ><;;

Seito 06-02-2010 11:58 PM

Well I guess it depends on how you think expensive is? I dunno remember the price but it's like going to Cold Stone to get ice cream verse 2 ice cream mochis or something.

Suona 06-03-2010 12:08 AM

Yeah, it would depend on the price. Might very well do it at least once, though, just to see how they taste

Seito 06-03-2010 12:12 AM

*drool* I suggest strawberry. Since you don't like tea, avoid the green tea one.

Suona 06-03-2010 12:14 AM

I'm actually decently okay with green tea, but yes, probably best to be safe and stick with strawberry. lol

Jennifer 06-03-2010 12:14 AM

Nice avatar, Seito! The waist wrap makes it look like your shirt is just longer (as it's covered up by the belt).

I don't remember if the vanilla was any good. Strawberry is my favorite though.

Aww thank you! xD I've been blinding people left and right.

Suona 06-03-2010 12:22 AM

I love vanilla, but if it doesn't taste very good, then that would be bad.
I'll keep strawberry in mind, though

Jennifer 06-03-2010 12:22 AM

I was looking at it and was like, "Are the basic shirts supposed to be that long? That's awesome!" ... "No wait, it's just an illusion!" But yeah, I definitely was like, "HOMG! BIG BIRD!" I mean that respectively of course. XD

Nah it should be fine. White mochi + vanilla ice cream should be okay.

xD Big Bird! I like that. xD That's a first.

Suona 06-03-2010 12:48 AM

So is mochi some kind of thing that they put around ice cream?

Seito 06-03-2010 12:50 AM

Well not just ice cream. It's just probably the most common you will probably find.

They put all kinds of things in mochi. Red Bean, Peanut butter, black sugar, etc. Sometimes mochi doesn't have anything in it either. There are alot of variations of it.

Suona 06-03-2010 01:00 AM

Not sure what to think of it. lol
Can you just make it?

Seito 06-03-2010 01:09 AM

Yeah. =D Question is whether you can find everything.

Suona 06-03-2010 01:14 AM

lol Yeah, that does tend to be the problem.
Whats in it?

Seito 06-03-2010 02:17 AM

Hrmm....
1 cup of hot water 3 tablespoons coconut milk (I think we just use condense milk) 1/2 cup of sugar 1 cup sweet rice flour (michiko flour) food coloring and 1/3 cup potato starch.

Suona 06-05-2010 01:24 AM

And that makes the mochi? And its tasty?

Seito 06-05-2010 01:26 AM

*nods* Yup!

Suona 06-05-2010 01:29 AM

Hmm. Do you just knead it all together?

Seito 06-05-2010 01:33 AM

Yeah. Mix it together, pour into a ring container, toss into the microwave (15 minutes I think) with plastic bag covering it and ta da. You have chichidango, one of the easiest mochi to make.

Suona 06-05-2010 01:35 AM

Huh. Very interesting.
Whats a ring container?

Seito 06-05-2010 01:40 AM

It's like a bunt pan? I don't really know how to explain it fully... and google is refusing to give me pictures.

It's basically a plastic container that bottom comes out from the pan (like a bunt pan), it isn't very tall (you're not make cake).
