lol, I would guess it would either work well with this group of users or not. DX
is there a computer screen on the machine? DX and is there a USB outlet? so can play games? |
@Meave: Ohhhh, I see. *feels bad for you* D: Are you enjoying the UK? @Brokey: O_O I've never even heard of computerized sewing machines until now. D: |
xurvette - It's not a computer like that....more like instead of having the vast knowledge to do complicated stitchwork and hems, you push a button and it programs it to make it the style you want.
Tori - Lol yeah me either...when I saw an ad for the first one I was like, 'hey, cool prototype' and then clicked to a new page and discovered like 20 more computerized models. Oops.... |
@Brokey: My gosh! *wouldn't want one* ^^; I'm used to the really old one my grandma has. |
Yeah me too but I can't seem to get my antique machine in working order.....and the manual is literally falling apart which doesn't help. ^^;
|
D: I wonder if there's anywhere you could take it to get it fixed? ^^; |
That's a little bit difficult considering it's a whole table....and cast iron. XD
EDIT: I googled a picture so you can see what I mean....mine is very very similar but without the ornate designs on the wood drawers. http://www.nebraskahistory.org/image...2/87671265.jpg |
Oh whoa! When you said antique, I just thought you meant it was really old. ^^; I didn't realize it really IS an antique. xD |
Oops I edited my previous post.....ummm look up to see the link? XD
|
...Wow, it looks really pretty. :3 My grandma has one of those. xD |
Yeah it's pretty but it's a pain in my butt. XD
|
...*points* I use that kind of sewing machine! O_O
I am so used to it until I can repair minor faults with that thing. haha. |
How cool, we've all played with the dinosaurs of sewing machines! :D |
That is because my family don't really use the sewing machine?
|
It's funny, I want a sewing machine...but I am really scared of the darn things. sewing my finger is a real fear D:
|
@Meave: xD!! Weeell...still cool we've all played with something like that. ^^ @Mel: Actually, I get kind of paranoid by the needle too. ^^;; So I would sew extremely slowly with the newer ones...It's a wonder how I managed to get anything done. xD |
lol, at least I'm not the only one XD I took a class in like middle school about it, but I haven't done anything since >.> But I want to learn to make clothes because I can never find what I want in the stores! D:
|
My mom has a sewing machine.
I never really try to make clothes though. They would probably come out terrible. I've made like one costume for a musical. I usually just buy things. xD |
@Mel: D: Me too...I'd love to even learn how to make the clothes I do own more fitted. @nessy: xD! There's two things I want to make sometime in the near future...A plushie and a cosplay costume. x3 I usually only mended things. The biggest "project" I ever did was make a lot of scrunchies with leftover fabrics. ^^; I think I have like thirty of them? Maybe more. x3 Oh wait, I've made a few pillow cases. *wants to do something more complicated* Dx |
I wanna make cosplay clothes for Sakura >.> I wanna dress her up like Sakura from Cardcaptors. it will be awesome XD
|
Awww! That would be adorable! :D |
Indeed, but that requires me to get really good at it XD Not only that but have money for materials. and a place to buy them. Elizabeth City has nothing but a wal mart XD
|
That is just one great use of a daughter! O_O
goodness, Mel you NEED to really go learn up skills to make clothes~ I want to see a mini Sakura~~~ |
xD It appears I've forgotten to stop in here in quite some time! @Mel: xD!! My hometown has nothing really but a Wal Mart either! |
*shivers* You left the heat off in here too....
