What is Star testing anyway?

Star testing is a test that everyone in the school takes for each subject their taking, and they add up all the scores as a whole and compare the test results to other schools results.
It's a competition between which school is the smartest. At least that's what it is over here. You could fail if you want. It won't affect your grades one bit, but your school scores would suffer. |

so true. I have a close friend who's chinese. His parent's are so distant from him now because he went from A+ to like.. C/B. One D because he couldn't handle AP Bio. D: Poor baby. He's almost sucked dry of maternal attention.
It really does get old, and it makes me quite sad for my buddies going through it. I hope yours doesn't go as far. |

Chemistry though?! I hate it hate it hate it! To be honest, I the only reason I passed was cause someone gave me answers to the final. I didn't even ask him. I think he liked me. O_O;; (nuu I'm not one of the mean people who try to steal answers from "the smart" people) Don't follow my example though! I is a bad girl. I don't know, I can't understand my teacher. His teaching method is too fast. All he does is show us how to do the problem once, and move on, but that doesn't show the problem thoroughly enough. 43% in that class. D: |
*blinks* Personally, I wouldn't touch Chem or Algebra with a fifty foot barge pole. Maths and science just aren't my thing.

Well I like biology... Human biology. xD But to be honest, I don't get any other science related things. And I heard if you're good at Algebra, you'll be bad at geometry. And if you're good at geometry, you'll be bad at Algebra. I guess I fall into the bad at algebra cause I ruled at geometry last year. |
English and English Literature were always my thing, though lately I have discovered a penchant for Semiotics thanks to university... it'[s the 'science of signs'. even though it is not technically a science. *grin*

I liked the advanced math and science classes.... but I wasn't all that good in them. I might have been better, but you know if you get sick and miss almost a week of class - you NEVER catch up. Then the rest of the time spent until the final grade is one big confused mess.
