Yea, i'm saving up. I'll probably buy a laptop next year or so, i'm gonna need it for college.
But if my computer breaks down.. :idea:

GAH!!! D:< you all will not believe how stupid my computer has been!!! I reformatted it and bam!! the internet speed has gone back to normal!!! And all this time, for more than two months, I have been thinking that it was the fault of those idiot service providers!!! *kicks laptop*

yeah thank goodness everything is back to normal!!! I remember that the time my computer went berserk was a few days before the second round of Aeris' giving back auctions... :shock:

Photobucket was particularly being such a bish XD good thing devArt behaved for meh... :lol: you will all be seeing more kinkyness now... dun dun duunnn... XD

Uh, first I need to ask.

It seems to me that all of the clothing is relatively expensive.

And I mean, it'll take me like a day to get a shirt, which I can definitely, definitely accept, but are there newbie clothes?

I'm cold all naked and all.

ah, starter clothes? Unfortunately, there aren't any of those for the newbies. At first you'll feel that the clothes are expensive, I did too when I first joined, but you'll get used to those prices ^_^

I'm sure you already know, that the longer your post is, the more gold you gain. BUT that gold system is capped at 20 gold per post *nods* but you have to be careful not to post spam around here ^_^

Yeah, at first I was surprised, but they've got such strict regulations on posting here that... it's almost like they're being stingy. ^^

Are there post rate limits?

Limits? For each post, 20 gold, and for a whole day, you can make as much as 1200 posts that will allow you to gain gold, but if you go past 1200, you wont gain gold anymore. This limit will be reset after a day ^_^

Yeah the rules are strict here, but that's how we keep the place spam-free, evil-free, or whatever you would call it. Basically, what the rules imply is that:

1. Do not abuse the codes for the sake of gold gain
2. Do not spam
3. Do not verbally attack/abuse others
4. And whatever else I may have not added here :lol:

In a nutshell, behave. :D I came from gaia, and I too was.. what's the term? Alienated? By the rules of this site, but after a week or so, I got used to it, and had not been in any trouble ever since ^_^

It seems like a knockoff. I'm fine with that, but it's sort of almost... concerning me.

Eh. I prefer gaia's layout still. I mean, it's not like I quit gaia or anything.

haha that's what most people from gaia say. Have you seen other avatar sites too? The reason why people say that these sites are copies of gaia are alike is probably because one or a combination of these reasons:

1. Both sites being compared use PhpBB forums
2. Both are avatar sites
3. Both use GOLD as currency

That's probably because some of the people who come here have been in gaia most of their online lives, that they had not noticed that there have been other avatar sites that have popped out well before mene did ^_^

As for layouts, you'll just have to wait for the major update :wink: layout changes are due then.

95%? That's too much :lol: probably about 60-80% are from gaia ^_^

I actually suspected the existence of gaia knockoffs or avatar sites, but I never looked for them. I was actually looking up a guide that I saw a few hours ago on google and I saw "Set's guide to questing", so I clicked it and found my way here.

Haha well, as you stay longer here, you'll understand why mene is not a copy of Gaia ^_^ you may want to try other forums too when you have time. There are lots of nice people around here. Actually, 95% of the people here are nice XD the remaining 5% are just so-so :lol:

Anyway, what kind of forums do you usually hang out in? (back at gaia)

D-Tail :D dun know that =_= I have an account on gaia that I created 2004, but abandoned it, then returned to gaia June this year XD so I don't know much about the items :D
