Rodd and I are going to Vegas in September for our anniversary.
My older sister and I are looking into cruises leaving from Long Beach down to Mexico for next year. We want to surprise mom for her birthday and take her down there. Found a couple of nice deals that aren't terrible. $154 for a 3 day cruise, that's total for the entire cruise. Not including alcoholic drinks, but it does include food which is nice. Kind of thrilled about spending time on a boat with the boyfriend. :yes: :insane: Lounging by the pool, just having fun in general, taking in the sunlight. |

My parents like to go on cruises and they do sound fun. We haven't tried to plan one yet cause there is always something else that we have to do instead. I hope you get to do the cruise thing for her - that would be amazing.

My parents left yesterday for Oregon. They drove up to Sacramento, parked the car at a friend's house, stayed the night and caught a flight this morning. They are coming back to Sacramento on Thursday, then heading to the cabin for Father's Day weekend. We are meeting them there.
Really looking forward to having some time away from Southern California and relaxing away from work. |

When Ellie and I first got together, her sister-in-law lost a baby--she was 6 months in and the hospital made them take the baby for burial due to it's age. Well, this past Thanksgiving they announced they were pregnant again, so the entire family has been on pins and needles the last 8 months. A C-Section was planned for the end of this week, but apparently 'Peanut" decided to come early. Ellie got a call from her brother yesterday morning, and she headed down to Baltimore last night. I wanted to go with her, but I've taken a bunch of time off work and felt guilty about calling out AGAIN, so I'm home alone the next few days. Ellie's bro wouldn't tell her the name until she met the baby, but we do know it's a 5lb, 11oz boy. Ellie's just arrived at the hospital, so I'm waiting for pics and the name. |

My friend has 7 weeks give or take to her due date and she's anxious for it to be over with. Her hips are really bugging her since they spread. |

Ellie really wants a kid or two, but I really don't have any interest in raising children--I'm far too selfish with my time and energy. So, Ellie's going to be away another night--she stayed with her sister in NJ last night after leaving the hospital, but told me a little bit ago she wouldn't be home tonight. I'm not even sure why she's staying and am kind of surprised and hurt... |
Nothing wrong with no wanting to have children. My sister is the same way about the kid situation. She has known for many years that she doesn't want to have little ones running around.
Perhaps she is just tired and didn't want to make the trip back tonight. But I can understand how that would be upsetting and kind of sad for you not to have her there tonight. |

Thanks for all the support gang! She actually showed up at 4am that morning! Very surprising and exciting. So I got in trouble today for being online too much--I'll be lurking a little more, but will also be staying away from LiveJournal and Facebook, so will hopefully be able to use some of that time to play here. I just have to be extra careful for a little bit. |
Oh sorry to hear you got in trouble O.O I blame facebook mostly (at least in my case) and the Sims 3 (and on occasion wow >.>) ... I hardly ever visit my live or dead journals anymore... I use to be religious about it but then everyone on my friends lists stopped posting there >.<;; so I stopped visiting... I've noticed I have a vicious cycle that eventually eliminates certain sites from my mind LOL... Neopets was the first to have that happen to... It was also my first love LOL

Way to play it safe. Pretty much how it goes for me as well. Thankfully, most people can't complain if they do find me here, all my work is done as of right now. Just waiting for them to pass out the fees.
