That's what I'm looking forward to. I had to special order all my bras at my previous size. After I heal I'm going to go on a mini shopping spree. I'll have to buy smaller shirts, too. It will look like I've lost a lot of weight when it had all been in my chest.
|
I figured your previous size had to be special ordered, it's hard enough finding nice D much less DD bras around! D:
In any case, Congrats on a new more comfortable size! I hope you heal up quickly. Sore boobs sucks. </3 |
Yup but they are healing quickly. Thank you. I actually got to take a shower today - I was so excited. Of course I had to take a nap afterwards but I was clean for a change.
|
lol. After the C-section with the twins I hadn't showered in like 2 days because I flat out refused to get out of the hospital bed. It hurt too much. They finally got me up after the second day, and I remember how good it felt to take a shower. Though, I cheated a bit and had my husband in there with me just to help hold me up. My middle was hurting so badly. </3 And if anything happened I wanted him to be right there to be able to grab the phone and call the nurses/doctors in. haha. I don't take chances. >.> Granted it was a different surgery than you went through, but still, showers after not taking one for a couple of days feel sooooo good!

My hubby was in the bathroom with me, too, just in case. Back when I had my c-section I remember the nurse stayed in the bathroom with me during my shower. I don't remember my stomach hurting so bad since I think I had some really good meds on board but I remember it felt like my insides were going to fall out if I didn't hold them in. Luckily for me, this surgery is nothing like the c-section except that I can't use the muscles in the area. Have to use my abs to get me to sit up instead of my arms so at least my stomach gets a workout ;p
|
I'm around a DD too--it's just more comfortable than a D in the larger back size. I do wish I could go back down to a C though--Ellie gets to wear such nice fancy bras, and while I wouldn't do it all the time, I wish I could get one or two. Plus, the straps are so wide on mine that I can't wear strappy shirts. |
yeah - that's part of what has me excited. I can wear things that I haven't been able to wear in years. Not that I'm going to dress all slutty but there are some tastefully cute things w/smaller straps as well.
|
EXACTLLY!!! |
lol, yes there are. I'd completely forgotten that the bra straps for that size were so much wider than other sizes. >.< You can even get strapless bras for C cups! Though, they don't always work right...but I think that's just how strapless bras are. They're not really there to help hold you up, they're just there to keep your nipples from showing. xD
I was on max dose of pain killers after the C-section but I was having gas pains in my shoulders since during the procedure air got trapped in my insides and it hurt so bad. But the meds did nothing for it. But yeah, I hated that feeling like your insides were going to fall out feeling. Totally scary. |
Oh, OW, Melody! I can't even imagine! The pain part that is.
I'm all for finding a decent strapless bra so I can wear one of those nice strapless dresses on a date with my hubby. Even my wedding dress had straps since I was already preggers and my chest was growing. |
It was what made me adamant against having a repeat c-section for this pregnancy. I refuse to go through that again. And I'm SOOO happy to be living in a state right now that will allow me to have a VBAC. We're taking some precautions, they won't let me go past 39 weeks and they're going to monitor me the whole time, but I just flat out refuse to have another c section. @[email protected]
I like Victorias Secrets 100 ways bra. :3 You can do pretty much anything you want with the straps, and it even has a back extender thing for strapless dresses, that helps to keep your boobs up where they "should" be. I can't wear mine right now though. </3 It's a 34 and I'm currently dealing with being a 36. </3 I'm all swollen up D: |
Does that go up to DD? |
I'm not even seeing it on the site anymore. :/
The 7 ways bra goes up to 40DD though There's also the low back multi ways bra that has the back that can go lower with the extension. That one only goes up to 38DD though from what I'm seeing. I don't know your full size so I can't tell you if it's in stock according to the site or not, but there you have it. xD I should say that both seem to be padded/have padding in them. I didn't check to see if the padding was removable or not...but I think it's silly to put padding in bras for women that have BOOBS not just boobs. Like, I'll wear some bras with padding with some dresses if I want a little more umph, but I can't imagine doing that when I have D boobs, much less if I had DD >.< |
My mom says Victoria's bras are smaller then normal bras... ((Don't know never owned one)) she is normally a DD and she bought a VS bra and it fit me (post Michael so I had a C/D bra size)... >.> so she returned it T_T
|
I'll have to check it out once I start my shopping. We were walking by Vicki Secrets the day before the surgery and I started dancing around "I get to shop there again!"
I don't know about their bras being smaller than most but I know the models wear a smaller size to give them that curvier look. I would have tried for a v-bac but turned out I wasn't supposed to get pregnant in the first place. |
I wear the same size across the board so I don't think their sizes are smaller than other brands. o.o I have noticed that their models wear a smaller size than they should though, not something I would recommend. xD But if there's a question as to what size you are, they do free sizing in the stores. Though, not all the people who work there know how to size. One of the girls told me I was a 38D. Tried on that bra because she brought it to me, it was loose around my chest, and my boobs in no way filled out the cup. I was like...uh no, maybe you should re-measure me because I know I'm not a D yet. >.<
|
I have two different sized breasts.... Nursing Michael killed my boobs (that is the only bad thing I have to say about nursing... And it was totally my own fault and WORTH it).... My left breast is a solid "C" and my right is a solid "B" :/ unless they make lopsided bras one breast will never fit... ><;;
|
Jaz - you can always put padding in the smaller one to make it fit better. I know a friend that has to do that and she can't blame nursing.
|
That is true... I feel stupid padding a bra... I had a friend in high school who had large and noticeably different sized breast she wore sports bras all the time though lol...
|
lol - that would solve it - uniboob ;p
|
That is what my mom calls boobs in sports bras ROFL...
|
Well, that is pretty much what it looks like. xD Though in a sports bra I think I end up with a B cup. Sports bras are really uncomfortable to me though, I'd rather just wear a nicely supportive non squishing bra.
Eh, I have bras that have removable padding, I'd imagine you would be able to even out your girls by removing the padding from one side, and keeping it in the other. Nothing wrong with wanting to look even. |
Jazzy has cheap bras that are starting to fall apart :/ The ones that have padding are all deformed now ><;; but they don't have removable padding either ><;;
|
Jaz needs to get nice bras for Christmas. They uplift you the entire year. ;D
Yes, I just went there. lolz. |
ROFL.... Yeah you did!
