 Which makes them more awesomly funny!
*laughs* |
Oh, I have great stories thanks to my job, that's for sure.
*chuckles* Well, I would just have to explore more and dig out the funniest secrets of your job encounters. XD
How about the fact that I have been on the phone non-stop with people who don't understand the fact that it's not automatic that their spouse and/or children are added to their health/dental insurance?
People seem to think we are psychic and just KNOW when their spouse loses coverage, and "Why aren't they on my plan?" Then they have the audacity to ask ME how they are supposed to know to contact us about adding people. |
heh? Eternal is also doing phone customer service type of work?
Well, it's part of my job--people call in and complain about their benefits, or how to go about getting them, or stuff like that.
Wow - that's . . .intersting.
There are some things that I know we were expected to do that was a surprise to me - but calling to add a spouse or child to my health plan is not one of those things that would be a surprise. I think at one point our dental provider changed but we never got a new card, or email, or physical mail telling us it changed and what our ID number is or anything on how to submit a claim - and benefits was just like- well, you should check the website for updates. . . I was kind of :? bwah . . . |
Benefits wasn't doing their job in that case. If we have a provider change, it's our duty to let everyone know (it's also the provider's duty to send out cards, but we all know how well that works... ) Actually, I think it's a Federal law that your benefits dept has to inform you of changes to the plan.
hmm, I am not eligible to claim anything yet... I only have the NHS health programme.
What is that?
I assume you are asking NHS. lol. It is a programme that help in medical costs.
Hey Eternal...do you work for a major insurance company or a secondary?
There are a few things that make me laugh at my job. 1. The people that think we automatically know when to update their address. Like we just get notices from their employer or the post office. 2. People that think we sit here all day, every day and think up ways to deny their claims, when in reality their primary insurance company denied the service because they went to an out of network provider, accessed preventative care from any individual other then the healthy check center or, they don't think we paid enough. |
well, most people are just not that psychic to know what others know! O_O
OMG, page three! I dropped to page three! GAH
Queen, I work in the benefits department of a university, not an insurance company. I simply help people fill out their forms and pay the bills. |
*pulls Jessi's thread from page 2* I was wandering around before bedtime and decided to rescue your thread from page 2 *snugs*
Sorry Jessi, was preoccupied with the auction. I'm so glad to be done with it now.
My wifey is being fussy trying to get me to finish packing, you would think she was trying to take care of one of the kids the way she is caring on.
*giggles* I think, I am the culprit again.
really I would have never guessed
Lol, I am the one that always kill the threads.
It's true. Ette killed this thread as well. I found it on page 2 again! *bad ette!*
 I... I can't help it...
Not my fault... the thread is tooo weak! T__T |
lol they can't survive the awesomeness that is Ette. <3
I get by with a little help from my friends. :D
I tried to staple my thread to the floor here, but it keeps jerking itself back up and hiding on page 2 again.
lol, it doesn't help that I've been going to bed at 9pm every night. It must feel like I abandon it... :P |
