Want the weekend to be here already for the simple fact that we are going to the beach. Time to get that base tan before going to the renaissance faire in another week. Whee!

Hello everyone!
I think it's finally starting to officially warm up here. Last weekend we got quite a bit of snow, and we were supposed to get snow again yesterday. It didn't snow....and now it's supposed to be in the 50's on Saturday...YAY!!!!! |

Queen, where do you live that the faire season has already started? I won't be able to get to my first fair for another few months. Actually, where do you live that you can go to the beach? It's still far too cold to go sunning. |
Bilbo, I live in Southern California. And the faire is about an hour or so away from where I live. Got the outfit, I'll take pictures this year and post them here so people can see. There really isn't ever a bad time to go sunning in Southern California.

No, I can't imagine that there would be a bad time for sunning down there. :D And also why Faire season is active. Here in the Northeast, Faire typically wait till later in the summer, but mostly the fall.

The faire that we go to starts at the beginning of April and runs to the first weekend of June, because after that it's just too damn hot. After all, the faire is in the inland empire just about. We made the mistake of going the last weekend in May one time. Holy hell, roasted alive. Not even sunblock was keeping me from being a rispy crispy critter.

Some of the guys at the Faire are so yummy looking, drool worthy. My older sister and I have to remind ourselves to just look and not touch, unless of course they let you touch. Oh baby, I will certainly do my best to get pictures of the good looking ones.
Trying to get my mom into a bodice or corset, she has the "assets" for one. Would be funny to watch my dad's eyes pop out of his head. *chuckles* Love people watching at the Faire...beer in one hand, steak on a stake in the other, nothing beats that. |

Oh yeah, they're beautiful all right until you go to breath, eat or drink and you realize the reason you look and feel thinner is because all your internal organs have been rearranged. Does wonders for the posture though. No slouching when you sit down and you have to bend from the waist. But it shoves the "assets" up and puts them on a shelf, kind like offering them to the gods. O.o

Did I forget to mention that it's great for weight loss as well. Since your stomach is being pushed in, not a lot of room to expand, so you eat less. Just have to eat more frequently which is what you're suppose to do in order to keep your metabolism going. And as you get skinner, you just downsize. So eventually you can have that hour glass figure without torturing yourself with a corset/bodice.
