Yeah, I have all my kitchen stuff packed away since they have all of that right now. I'm going to go through their cabinets and see if there's anything I can pull out. But at teh same time, I'm not even 100% sure I'll still be there come Sept, so I don't want to unpack too much and have to pack it all up again in 2 months.

siaasgn 06-30-2008 08:52 PM

That's understandable . . . the debate between having to live out of a box or having to re-pack in too short a time . .

xuvrette 06-30-2008 10:46 PM

I like moving if it don't involve money. lol.

roocee 07-01-2008 12:00 AM

Don't we all Meave.

I would probably feel the same Jessi. No reason to unpack until you know if you are staying there.

t_4eva 07-01-2008 02:38 AM

"Ello Eternal! t is making an appearance!

unpacking is the worst. I tend not to until it's absolutely vital and I can't find anything anymore, or I need to sort out washing coz everything smells. So lazy am I!

xuvrette 07-01-2008 03:47 AM

I don't mind the hassle, but I do mind the money involve. LOL.
I actually like tidying things in BIG scale, rather than small scale. lol.

Bilbo 07-01-2008 06:58 PM

All my stuff is officially moved in, but it's going to take FOREVER to figure out how to fit and arrange everything in my room since it's so tiny. I want to get rid of one of my bureaus and replace it with one of those tall lingerie chests, but I've yet to find one cheap enough. I also need to work on propping things because the room dips into the center and I don't' want to risk stuff falling.

I'm praying this all works out.

xuvrette 07-01-2008 07:13 PM

wow... Good luck.
What furniture you have in your room?

Bilbo 07-01-2008 07:17 PM

A full-size bed, 2 bureaus, a small night stand, my shrine and a bookcase. But I have to keep all my other stuff in my room too--which equals about 5 boxes of stuff. I'm hoping my girlfriend and I can figure out a good way to raise the bed sooner rather than later.

siaasgn 07-01-2008 07:29 PM

Ohh . .that sounds like not fun.

Reminds me of Chris's center cirt apartment room- there was no room at all in the tiny tiny space - he couldn't even open his dresser all the way because the bed was in the way.

He had to build a shelf/ closet bar near the ceiling so he could hang his sirts over his bed, and there was only floor space for the door to open - if you were in the room you were on the bed . .terrible.

I hated it - he loved it, but only because it was in center sity.

xuvrette 07-01-2008 08:10 PM

Bureaus? How big? O__O

Bilbo 07-02-2008 05:28 PM

Sia, that's crazy small! I never would have been able to live in a situation like that, no matter HOW good the location was.

Maeve, the bureaus are pretty big. One is about 4 and a half feet long and the other is about 3 feet long. Both are about 2 feet deep, so they take up quite a bit of space. The one I want to get is only about 2 feet by 2 feet, and will allow me to get rid of the larger one.

siaasgn 07-02-2008 06:51 PM

Yeah - it was pretty crappy - it was a tiny apartment and he was subletting a room - I almost never visited him there because I hated it so much - all we did was sleep on the room, anything time spent together was out - we spent a lof og money on diners and bars when he lived there

xuvrette 07-02-2008 07:27 PM

SO awful a room? I wonder... lol.

Bilbobo, is it because of those bureaus that you have smaller space?

Bilbo 07-02-2008 07:31 PM

Yes and no Maeve. My bedroom in the new apartment is smaller than in my old apartment, so there isn't enough room for everything like I was familiar with. Plus the fact that I went from being able to spread the rest of my belongings through the entire apartment and now I'm living in a place that is already full of stuff because I moved in with girls that had already been living there.

xuvrette 07-02-2008 08:29 PM

Awww.... stuff is a sore...

Lilim 07-06-2008 04:43 AM

I'm glad you found a place luff
Sorry about your stuff though... I'd be happy to take some of it but I dont have any room either

Keisume_Katori 07-07-2008 08:07 AM

xuvrette 07-07-2008 09:05 AM

roocee 07-07-2008 01:45 PM

Morning Jessi.

siaasgn 07-07-2008 02:45 PM

Good monning Eternal . . hope you had a good long weekend! ;)

Bilbo 07-10-2008 05:25 PM

Hey all, as I've mentioned in other threads, I've been crazy trying to tie up all the loose ends at work, and still haven't gotten around to hooking up the internet at my new place (anyone want to come over and do it? I'll cook for you!) I've just been so damn lazy.

*snuggles my luff* Thanks for the offer--I have a ton of stuff in the basement, and am planning on bringing a little bit more to my dad's the next time I go back to visit.

xuvrette 07-10-2008 09:14 PM

Wow... you still have basement~

Queen_Andais 07-12-2008 10:34 PM

Bilbo, I know how that feels moving into a place that is already furnished. Makes you feel kind of like an outsider since there is no where for you to put your stuff and make it feel more homey. Kind of how it is living with my sister. She has all furniture and I don't have any, other then the stuff that goes in my room. Oh well. When I get my computer it will be time to get a computer desk for it. Just not sure where it should go in the front room.
