Yup. Only he's already learning how to fake it. I don't think he was faking it this morning...but I guess I just feel guilty that he isn't in school. I've become friends with his teacher and now I feel like I'm standing her up. Weird, huh?

My kid is only 5 and most of the teachers at that school are friends of mine. If I sent my kid sick to school they would get mad at me for potentially making them sick. I got over the guilt thing, though. Since Justin was feeling better I made him do his weekly homework most of the afternoon. That's not too harsh since at his age it's mostly coloring the right answers and he loves to color.

I totally don't think it's okay to send kids to school sick--they could infect the others. But you handled it well I think Gemini--have him do something constructive and educational since he's feeling so much better. |
My mom would only let me stay home from school if I had a fever. There were times when I was sick with a really bad cold or something else, and I still had to go to class. Needless to say, I'm not that hard on my boys!

My girlfriend's mom wouldn't let them stay home from school at all--all five kids had perfect attendance for their entire lives. If they were sick, they had to go to school, and could see the nurse after 10am to come home. |

Morning everyone! This was a crazy weekend, that's for sure, but hopefully I can relax a little during the week. And we currently have no plans for this weekend, so I'm planning on keeping it that way. |

HEHEHHE. *luffles Jess* it was worth the craziness--we had a sex toy party Friday night, then Saturday we went shopping and to a Halloween party at a friend's house. We went for breakfast with that friend Sunday morning, then to an Octoberfest at a local winery/orchard and out to dinner with a Meetup group I'm a party of. I can't wait to crash tonight. |
