Well, we have a major snowstorm coming, and the Governor said that non-essential state employees should stay home today. Guess where I am? Yup, WORK! The last major storm we had created 10-hour commutes, tons of accidents and stranded vehicles and a huge mess. But that doesn't matter to my job, no not at all. Even though the kids have all gone home for winter break, it doesn't matter, we all still need to be here. ETA: we just got word that we're closing at noon, WTF was the point in even coming in??? |

Well, we were let out well before any snow even fell, which is the kicker! The big snowstorm we had last year, they didn't let anyone go until 3 pm, after about 4 inches had already fallen. It took most people 5+ hours to get home and there were tons of accidents and breakdowns from that storm. While the university learned, you'd think it would have learned better. |
We havent had snow but its bitter cold here. We are currently sitting at a balmy 9 degrees *sarcasm* The schools had a 2 hour delay, but I kept Toni home. Shes been sick and having to stand in this bitter cold weather is just not something I am going to do to her. Plus, I have no one to sit with the baby and I flat out refuse to even attempt to take her out in this weather. And my mom just told me its supposed to be 50 on Christmas!! WTF is up with this crazy assed weather??

We have a bowl of water for the cats right outside the door incase they ever get locked outside over night... it's been frozen for the past couple of days. If it rains... I'm betting it will be hail/snow before hitting the ground.

Awesome, something went terribly wrong with some adjustments I had to make to certain peoples' benefits and now I'm in super trouble. I'm not looking forward to my boss coming in...which will be in about 5 minutes. I don't know how much I'll be on today and tomorrow. |

Yesterday everything was frozen but it didnt feel that cold cause it was that dye cold air It was wonderful... Till I had to load my kiln outside >_< Then I was like okay maybe it is 16 today its kinda chilly. So I turned the kiln on low and used it as a heater while I was loading it |
HEHEHE Lilim. That is a pretty good idea though. So, I'm not in as much trouble as I'd feared I might be. My boss is concerned about the errors, but was more upset about the fact that I didn't bring it up to her last night. In my defense, I wanted to research more before I went to her, but apparently that's not what she wants. A huge stress has been lifted, I was so worried! |

Well, I'm back from my break! It was really nice to not have to work for over a week, but I wasn't really able to relax due to the timing of the holidays and the fact that I traveled to New Jersey on Christmas night for 4 days to be with my girlfriend. I was able to get some rest at teh beginning of last week though. I do wish I'd had a few more days though.
