Happens like that...I do the same thing with stuff.

EternalHearts 01-07-2009 08:14 PM

Mene is such a distraction!! I'm not allowed to sign in tonight until I get some chores done that I've been putting off way too long now.

Melody 01-07-2009 10:36 PM

*waves mene around Eternals House so that it's even more tempting* those dishes and sweeping chores can wait. Think of all the fun conversations you will be having...

EternalHearts 01-08-2009 02:39 PM

I know! I didn't do any chores when I got home, just re-heated some Spanish rice and passed out on my couch watching TV. It was all I could do to get up to take a shower.

Queen_Andais 01-08-2009 05:00 PM

Tomorrow night it's time to clean the bathroom, which is my least favorite thing to clean. Just icky to me for some reason. And vacuum since we got a new one and I haven't used it yet. Looks like fun and much easier to use then the old one...bonus! This vacuum actually picks stuff up, it's amazing!

EternalHearts 01-08-2009 05:42 PM

I love the look of a freshly vacuumed floor, although I hate actually doing it. I'm happy I have hard wood in my current apartment. I hate cleaning the bathroom too, mainly because it's a constant job and I share mine with two other women. You'd think the one without a job would actually do stuff around the apartment, but NO! she's just as lazy as before she was fired.

Queen_Andais 01-08-2009 06:05 PM

See that just sucks. When I lived up North with my friend and her family, the house was constantly in a state of being cleaned since I wasn't working and everyone else was. Figured that was my way of saying thank you for letting me stay with them. Luckily, their house is mostly hard wood floors so vacuuming was easy.

EternalHearts 01-08-2009 06:12 PM

One of my roommates does what little vacuuming needs to be done since she owns a cat, and it's mostly his fur that is on the rugs--same with sweeping the main rooms. I am typically the person responsible for trash and recycling, and I am usually wiping up the kitchen. The third roommate just leaves her crafts all over the living room, and her dishes pile up in the sink, and she never cleans any of the common areas.

Yet, when I get home from work most days, she's all excited about me being home because she's "been bored ALL DAY!!!"

Queen_Andais 01-08-2009 06:17 PM

Then tell her that in order for harmony to reign, she needs to get her ass in gear and pitch in with the house work. You are not her maid, mother or otherwise person to wait on her, when she has plenty of time during the day to do her own stuff. Let her know that she needs to grow up and do her portion of the work.

EternalHearts 01-08-2009 06:19 PM

*sigh* Way easier said than done, especially since she's been in the apartment for 5 years, and I've only just moved in this past July. Plus, I'm just so non-confrontational. I know it'll get to that point eventually though, Sarah and I are just getting fed up with her laziness and lack of desire to work or even look for a job.

Queen_Andais 01-08-2009 06:22 PM

Well, if she is still paying rent on time and helping with the bills as she is supposed to be, then there isn't much you can do about asking her to get a job. However, the house work situation needs to change. She needs to get off her ass and pitch in around the house. No excuses

EternalHearts 01-08-2009 06:30 PM

And as of right now she is still paying rent and utilities, but who knows for how long... And the other two of us--one has a second job and I'm looking for a second job. I have no idea how she's affording life right now.

And like I said, she's lived in the apartment for 5 years. The woman is 30 years old for gods' sakes! She should know better than all this. Ah well, eventually Sarah and I will get fed up and put our feet down.

Queen_Andais 01-08-2009 06:43 PM

Right now should be nap time. Kind of warm in the building and not much going on. Just put my head down and take a snooze. Life would be so much better

EternalHearts 01-14-2009 06:25 PM

MMMMMM, naptime would be wonderful right now.

Queen_Andais 01-14-2009 06:26 PM

Got a nasty little head ache brewing and it's probably from not eating anything yet today. Should get something from the snack machine...be back in a few minutes.

EternalHearts 01-14-2009 06:30 PM

YES!!! you need to eat!

I just had lunch, hopefully it'll be enough to carry me until 7:30 when I can eat again (seeing an old friend tonight).

Queen_Andais 01-14-2009 06:38 PM

Awesome about seeing your friend. Love nights like that, having fun and hanging out.

Had some chips and got a Dr. Pepper. Yummy Dr. Pepper.

EternalHearts 01-14-2009 06:56 PM

THAT's not lunch...

Queen_Andais 01-14-2009 08:04 PM

Lunch time hasn't happened for me yet. That was brunch or a light snack, just depends on how you look at it...the chips were baked, so they were a little healthier.

Bilbo 01-14-2009 08:06 PM

Ah, I see. I have a granola bar and oatmeal for breakfast, then leftovers for lunch. I'm trying to decide if I want another granola bar, to make a small bag of microwave kettle corn, or jsut hold off till 7:30

Queen_Andais 01-14-2009 08:14 PM

A snack now will make it easier to pick something good to eat later, and not just load up with bad stuff. The kettle corn sounds yummy.

Bilbo 01-14-2009 08:17 PM

*nods* I think I'll go make some. Back in 3 minutes!

Queen_Andais 01-14-2009 08:28 PM

Should be here waiting. Got 2 minutes before I go to lunch and then I'll be back in an hour. Probably going to just stay here at work and get something. Not that hungry really.

Bilbo 01-14-2009 08:33 PM

Yeah, the co-worker I share phone duty with is out today, so I stayed at my desk to answer teh phone and work on my Personal statement for grad school.

Queen_Andais 01-14-2009 09:36 PM

That personal statement sounds like fun. Had days like that were the person who was suppose to relieve me of the phones was sick and didn't come in...those days sucked.
