Private schools don't have that kind of stuff? I'm sure they don't have as much as public schools, but I can't seem to comprehend that they'll have absolutely none. O__O
It's also possible that you just don't run with the crowd that does the drugs and stuff thus you don't know that they exist. I always thought my school was clean and drugless. None of my friends do drugs and no one I know from my school does it. I recently found out that we're called Drugland... O_____O :o |
Oh, I know it exists.
But I've got a friend who used to go to a public school, and she had a drug deal occur like, across her desk at school. We had someone get expelled last year for drugs, and this year for drinking in class. But I just feel safer in a private school, plus, we're smarter than the local public schools. Barely half of public school students passed the state standardized test. |

I used to live somewhere where that would've probaly happened, but I moved to a better place. When I lived in my old home, I was only in elementary school, so obviously, there's very little drug dealing or alcohol drinking XP The place I live now is more peaceful there's like a 98% graduation rate so I'm glad that I was lucky enough to have moved. But I do agree with you; private school seems to have better teachers and courses. The people also seem more nice and educated. |
Yea, I couldn't believe their standardized test scores when I heard them.
The schools aren't like, druggie horrible, I think. That story came out of the biggest high school with 3000+ students. I'm not sure what the public school graduation rate is. Probably lower than that. And our curriculum is supposedly pretty good and harder than public schools. Which is nice. |
What kinds of classes do you have at your school? Like my school has like 3D art, digital media class (using photoshop which is like 400$+ O__O) and some other niffty stuff. I know if I didn't move, my would-be school wouldn't have all these classes.

Well, it just supposedly is harder.
We use college level books in a lot of the honor classes, which is what I'm in. And we have classes like that, only Computer graphics (The Photoshop one) is rather worthless if you're not interested in coloring and improving your skills. It was such an easy class when I took it last year. I split my time between surfing Mene and coloring most days. xP And we don't have any amazing classes. Just the usual. Though that big high school I mentioned has Japanese. D< |
I love coloring and art. I do pretty much the same thing :D

ithir- yeah, that computer graphics class in my school is also easy if you knew what you were doing. XP It was a fun relaxed class during freshman year though. XDDD

Yea, I can imagine. It was heaven to have my 2-D class first thing in the morning for part of last year.
This year I have a boring class that puts me to sleep almost daily. D: Yea, my teacher for computer graphics had like, very little control over the class. They played games and watched movies most of the time. =o Awesome! |
XP My teacher had control over the class and would yell at people if he saw them on game sites and stuff. But they usually didn't have their work done. XD I did, so I don't think he cared. X3 This was true for a few other people too, but not alot.

Yea, our teacher failed at keeping us in control. I don't think she really cared, so it was nice. I had the time to color a few practice pictures for people.
