Awesome! We had rain all of yesterday, the internet claimed it was 60 outside, but it was freezing! Rain and wind just killed they 'hey it's warm enough to go outside for once!' high I got from looking at the temperature. We're back to the 40's today. >.<

Yeah wind will kill the temp every time. We are in the 30's still but that's better than getting into the teens and single digits at night.

We won't get to that kind of weather until probably mid january. Not looking forward to it, but hey, I've survived it twice so far, I suppose another time won't hurt. xD
That and I'll be in New York for a good week-ish dying there from their freezing temperatures, it should be nice to be back into just coooooold. I would think anyway, I might just be bitter the whole time regardless. xD

*le sigh* Toni is all about teh Wii, shes driving me mad. Her dad tried to tell her to take it easy till he could get a charging station for the remotes, but shes not dealing with limiting her playtime well. Every 10 minutes I hear "Maaaaaaa I want to play my Wii. Maaaaaa why cant I play." UGH just want to flush her lol

Daddy needs some help when it comes to disciplining cute little girls then. xD I have that problem sometimes. Scott doesn't He's ruthless when it comes to their whining at him. I don't know how he does it but man, he's solid.

My parents were strict about us using them against each other to get stuff that we want. My little sister didn't catch on to that as fast. Which resulted in my parents having some serious arguments because mom would say no and then Amanda would pester dad until he said yes to shut her up.

My dad would always tell me yes, my mom would almost always say no. I pit them against each other once since I really wanted to go out with some friends to the movies. I was like 9 or 10... My dad belted me when I got home for what I did. Never did it again. </3

We never got away with it growing up but his parents let them do whatever so it's hard to change that.

That is one that Rodd and I will stand firm on, we will not allow the kids to undermind our authority. The way it will probably go down, I will say No and Rodd will back me up on it, unless he sees some other reason why the child should be allowed to go and then we will discuss it.
My parents usually discussed big decisions before saying yes or no, which was nice.

The problem arises when you don't know that the other parent has been asked. If I know Scott said no, I back him up, if he knows I said no, he does the same. But if we aren't around when the other is asked, it doesn't do a lot of good if one parent says sure whatever and the other says no.

Very true. But with the wonderful invention of text messaging, I doubt we will be that out of contact with each other  Poor kid won't know what hit 'em.
Speaking of cell phones, the kids will not have one until they are old enough to pay for it on their own. So if they want to get a job at 15 or 16 then they can get a prepaid phone, but I will not be footing the bill for a phone.

I never really had the chance to pit my parents against each other seeing as how they divorced by the time I started to get really sneaky. LOL There were a few times though that I would want to go on a school trip and didn't have the money so my mom said I couldn't go, so then my dad would step in and give it to me. It wasn't really a question of undermining though. They both knew I really wanted to go, my mom just felt bad she couldn't afford to send me.

That doesn't sound too terrible, just be thankful that your dad was still part of your life. My older sister's dad wanted nothing to do with her after he got remarried and this new wife despised Amy.
Eventually he stopped wanting her over at the house and she was nothing more then a monthly payment for him. Sad.

>.> I don't text my husband if he's just in another room of the house. It's too silly. Just like I won't instant message him when he's in the living room and I'm in the bedroom. ^^;; Technology is nice and all, but I don't use it to communicate with people I live with if they're in the house with me at the time.

I'll probably get my kids a cell phone when they reach teen years. I'll have them take mine with them when they go to visit friends though. Specially if they're walking to their houses. I remember walking down to visit Scott a couple of times (He lived about 2 miles away) and it was scary since I had to pass a freeway. I would have loved to have a phone just in case something happened. When they're teens it will keep them from hogging up the home phone line. xD I have unlimited texts and something like 1200 minutes a month? + roll over. we haven't used our full minutes...ever. I wish we could sell them back.

I know, Queenie. My father certainly doesn't get the father of the year award but he never missed a single child support payment and never was he a deadbeat. He still does a tremendous amount for me, like getting my dental loan for me, and I don't know what I would do without him even though he is on my nerves quite often. LOL

I meant text if he wasn't home, otherwise I will hunt him down and find out the 411 on what the boogers want. Today is moving along kind of slow right now and that's irritating me.

I didn't get a cell phone until I was 17, almost 18 and even then there was the understanding that payment for my phone would come from me and the job I was working. Most of my friends had their phones handed to them. Kind of upset me, but what can you do?

I didn't get a phone until I moved out. xD Scott and I got a plan together. My mom got my sister one when she was a sophomore in high school. I was annoyed. I could have used one since I was CONSTANTLY away from the house, but noooo my mom got one for my sister instead. [/favoritism] xD

My friends all got theirs handed to them as well. Doesn't really matter any more. though it does still annoy me that my sister is still on my moms plan so my mom is footing the bill. :/
