Good luck with the blood work - I'm sure it'll be . . . fun.

They aren't back yet so I don't know how it went.

<3 blood work isn't generally too bad. It just takes a while to draw all of it >.<

I hope I never need another 3 hour glucose test, like ever!! Went in, had to pee in a cup, then they drew blood. In an hour I had to drink the orange stuff, pee in a cup and get more blood drawn, Only for her to tell me I didnt get in there early enough and that there is a chance I might have to redo this stupid test. Waited an hour, did it all over, then waited another hour and had to do it a final time. 4 tubes of blood taken, my arm hurts, and I need a nap :lol:

glucose tests are te worst. >.< My gyn said she doesn't see why they are really relevant for most people. Since gestational diabeties isn't really that big of a deal. >.< I think they just like torturing people who get pregnant. :/

I had 2 different people take my blood, and I liked the second one best. The first one took to blood out of the same spot both times and my arm is so sore. The second one took from my hand, and while she used the same vein she didnt use the exact same spot, and she refused to try and take it from my arm. She felt around and said she didnt like the feel of my veins so she went with my hand, and Im glad, I hate when they dig

Oh me too, that is the absolute worst.

*shudder* I hate needles and I'm so squicked at the thought of giving blood :/

Hopefully Im done, I do NOT want to have to have this done again. I hadnt eaten since like 9 the night before and by the time I was finished up there I was shaky and pale

I always hated having my blood drawn when I was pregnant... The woman that did all the lab work for my doctor would stick me, not be able to get any blood, and instead of starting all over, she would pull the needle out a little bit and move it around until she found blood. That hurts worse than pulling it completely out and starting all over.

People like should consider a career change. How would they like it if some one did that to them?

I agree. I don't see the need to move the needle around in there like that. It hurts like hell and then you are left like you had the crap beat out of you when they are done. My veins are deep and they roll so I tell them right away to try my hand.

I got 2 out of my hand, which have hardly bruised, and 2 out of the crook of my arm. Which is where she hit it in the same spot, and its starting to bruise rather well. Toni is upset, she hates when I have to go have blood work done and refusing to even glance in the direction of my arm

When they were putting the iv in when I had been knocked out to get my wisdom teeth out, the nurse hurt me and I guess I jumped a bit. The doc said something about it taking so long and she was like "well she moved!" :X

I would have been like well you're rude and entirely too rough. Maybe a few other choice words, then blame it on the anestethic :lol:

It's totally uncalled for when a nurse is rough like that and then blames you for it.
