Oh Jess, that is terrible! I hope you're feeling less stressed out than you were yesterday--just try to take it easy and relax.

I am feeling a bit better today. Going to have dinner with my parents tomorrow and my dad is going to pay to have a new hard drive installed in my tower. I told him he didnt have to but he insisted that it was no problem. That took a load off my mind. Because this one is like almost 9 years old and while its something, Im just not used to the snail pace lol

Yay for new hard drives! I remember how bad my previous laptop had gotten before I bought the external drive--it was murderous!

We also thought that maybe we could look into upgrading the old one as well so that maybe Toni could have it. It's a good computer, just really slow now.

great idea, I want to get an older computer for my daughter too. Just to run windows and word, excel etc for school work, maybe a couple of games. No internets in her room D< LOL

She's not quite old enough yet for the word, excel, etc but I do have an older version that will work on that computer. She does like to go into webkins.com and a couple other really cute sites though but she is easilty distracted yet and doesn't stay with one thing for long periods of time.

I remember how ADD I was when I first started using a computer - we had a kids zone on it- i think it was a packard bell or something like that (well - it's the first PC I had - I first started using a Commadore 64 to play games)

I never really had experience with the Commadore 64. Just never got it really. I never had any computer classes of any kind except for word processing in school. All my internet experience I've learned on my own.

I didn't know how to do much with the Commadore - just put in the disk and play the games- my Grandfather had one and taught us how to use it.

I think I had computer classes in school - but I think it was mostly work processing and formatting spreadsheet and junk like that - well, we did play Oregon Trail in elementary school - we loved Oregon Trail day >.<

You do really well for being self taught - most people get intimidated and just never venture outside their comfort zone.

I feel like a computer idiot compared to Chris and my friends - I have to remind myself that I'm not too bad - and I try to not think about the middle and high school kids who are much much better than me

Tell me about it. My niece knows quite a bit about the computer for being in 3rd grade I think it is. It's amazing.

LOL we had a commodore 64, just for games.

In high school there was a computer class. We learned binary and stuff.

I never went into the computer room in school. It was for the really really smart kids which I was not and all that binary stuff was just way over my head.

I remember using a computer a few times in elementary school--playing with the 'turtle' on the black background. Then I didn't touch computers again until High School when we started having classes. But that was all word processing and typing skills.

Honestly, most of what I've learned over the years, in regards to EVERYTHING involving computers, is self-taught, or shown to me by friends.

Me too Jessi, self taught. I never retained any of that stuff I learned in grade 10 computer class. It wouldn't apply to computers now anyway.

Yep, typing and such is all the computer experience I had in school and college for that matter. Self taught with everything else.

Afternoon ladies :D Yeah Toni scares me with how much she can do on the computer. She likes to open notepad and type. She knows how to start a browser and how to type the proper web address. Kinda scary lol, but at least she has some experience for when she starts to learn this stuff in school.

No baby yet but the sonogram went well. Everything looks good. Saw her ywaning and waving, and practicing her breathing, and saw her heart beating. So shes ok, just wish she would decide its time to show her face lol

Tis ok. Four pages isn't to bad. It's been quiet but I'm enjoying the event.
