Good morning - I have to agree that a chocolate orange milkshake would be awesome ;)
I love oranges and grapefruits - but I never buy them, no idea why. |
I dont like grapefruit, I find it too sour for my tastes. I never knew there were different kinds of grapefruit till Rue told me, but I havent been brave enough to try any others lol

Pink grapefruits are the best - I really like them because of the bitter edge.
When I peal them I take off the thick membrane separating the pieces - that's the really sour part - the grapefruit flesh itself isn't so bad. My Grammy lives in Florida and had a grapefruit tree - it was awesome. In the morning I would go outside and pick a grapefruit - take it inside to wash and then slice it up and have it for breakfast. can't get any fresher than that :lol: |
Boy that's the truth. It would be wonderful to have any type of fruit tree in the yard to have fresh fruit every day.

It was pretty cool - her neighbor had an orange tree and they used to give her oranges all the time - she would make fresh orange juice in the mornings.
Man - as much as I hate the heat I'm so tempted to move to Florida just so I can have fresh grapefruit and oranges! |

I love fresh Fruit <3 we have an aprocot and a plum tree!! ^o^ I can't wait until they start producing fruit this season. (: I think the kids will have a lot of fun going out and picking fruit. I do want an orange tree and an apple tree too. But haven't bought much of anything for the garden yet. ^^;;

I do think you have to acquire a taste for grapefruit.

It's possible- it's a really unique taste - bitter sweet :)
We drink massive amounts of grapefruit juice in my house- and for a while i was buying cases of grapefruit at Costco - I even made grapefruit muffins . . .I should do that again! |

I've only had grapefruit juice when it was the only thing in the house to drink besides tap water ^^;;
