*whew* I am so glad thats over!! There are a couple things I have to do yet over at the old place but we're out of there!! Elise is much happier here, sleeping really well xD, and Toni really likes it here. Now if he would just shut the hell up about me scrubbing all the walls down we'd be good to go lol

Why in the world would you have to scrub the walls down to the new place. It's already been cleaned I'm sure. He's so germ phobic it's unbelievable.

Good afternoon Ladies. Woohoo for being moved in Jess. *happy dance* Just becareful with scrubbing everything down. Your immune system needs germs in order to make antibodies to fight them off. That's why having antibacterial everything *shudders* is bad and helping to create super germs. MRSA being the absolute worst of them. I usually cheat and buy the nonbacterial stuff and then put it in a container that says antibacterial, this way it's only a white lie and people don't know the difference. Horrible of me, but I'd rather theme be safe then sorry. -end of rant- ^_^

I didnt know that Queen!! Now Im not scrubbing them down for sure!! The people who lived her before us smoked so thats why he wants the walls scrubbed. Maybe I can just wipe them eventually with soap and warm water, but Im not disinfecting them

With cigarette smoke there is no reason to disinfect the walls. Just asked my mother about cleaners for the walls and she suggested TSP, it's a detergent. Otherwise, warm soapy water with some lemon juice should be fine. She said though if you are thinking about painting the walls, definitely clean them first with the TSP or soap and warm water, then use Kilz (it's a pretreatment for the walls that helps the paint stick to the walls) and then paint. I trust my mother's advice since she seems to paint the house every 2-3 years.

I have this stuff that has Febreeze in it, smells really good. I will do that Monday because he wont shut the hell up about it.

Jess, that sucks. It's tough that the former tenants were smokers, but a good scrubbing with regular soap and water (or that Febreeze stuff) is a better idea than using antibacterial stuff--I basically just use that type of product in the bathroom and kitchen counters becasue those are areas where contamination needs to be worried about. Besides, there's no bacteria in cigarette smoke.

Well it seems that my car's problem isn't the water pump after all but something Gary called the soft plug. Not sure what it is but I could see where it's leaking antifreeze. Cheaper than a water pump and I can make it till Friday when I can get it into the shop. That makes me feel better. |

I so miss her being at the house. I hopefully after Friday will get to drive to see her. Can't drive more than to and from work until Niel looks at my car.
I honestly think all the rocking I did has helped my wasteline. I seem to be able to pull my jeans off without unbuttoning them. |
