Ooo pizza and movies! My family and I just watched "Sky High". Such a cute ball of corn and cheese. :3 You can keep the beer, though. XD Never had a taste for that. XD

LOL. Nessy.

Dude, Sci-Fi made-for-tv-movies are hysterically bad. I don't bother to watch them much, but the commercials make me laugh every time. XD

No worries. XD Like I said - I like paranormal stories. :3 And it's an informal situation. I don't read informal stories critically. (Unless, of course, the English/grammar is so bad I am not even sure what the story is. >_> But you don't have to worry about that at all. XD )

And how much you'll need depends on what your tastes are... I can't even hint towards it now, though. >_>; You earn gold pretty quickly, so if you like the items when they arrive, you can just work as hard as you need to to get what you want at half price while they're in the stores. XD

I don't earn gold very quickly, so I have to save up in advance of an event to make sure I have 'enough to get what I want'.

None of the prices on items have been set yet, so I don't even know a ball-park figure yet. XD; But I do know there will be several items on the expensive side. Probably mostly in the middle-range.

Ok I have another story that I promised to tell you.

Back when I worked for Boeing, we had a security guard that worked there was just a little off the beam. He was absolutely insistent that the warehouse was built over an indian burial ground. Of course it wasn't because the military had checked for that sort of thing before they put the building there. They are required to. Anyway this guy would read the National Enquirer and believe every word.

I would come in to do my job at 11PM, so he would go home because there was no one there for second shift so he had to make sure they place was ok. We had a lot of really sensitive things in there. So there had to be someone in the building at all times. I worked night shift alone, but since I was there they had another security guard that just did patrols, so he would come check every two hours to make sure I was still alive. (Yes really)

Anyway, so the security guard had been telling on this particular night about the ghost of "Indian Joe" who he swore roamed the halls at night and was 8 feet tall. Several hours later I was walking through the warehouse and I had been wearing a hawaiian shirt open over a tank top, and all of a sudden something grabbed my shirt and held on. I nearly had a heart attack! I was sure the ghost had me! :XD As it turned out, my shirt had caught on a rack of parts. *gigglesnorts* It was another of those stupid funny embarressing moments!

But on another night in there, again I was walking through the warehouse. We wrapped the missile parts in huge sheets of ceran wrap to keep them clean. Anyway the warehouse was divided into two sections, with big bay doors joining them. So I was on my way to get something and I had just passed into the back section when I had this incredible urge to turn around. I saw this thing floating by, it made the ceran wrap blow up as if a breeze was moving past. There wasn't really anything in particular there, but there was. The best way I can describe it is that it looked like a broken rainbow. Just a million little prisms of color in a column moving along slowly. I have no idea what it was. I didn't feel any fear, I just stood there with my mouth open in fascination. It moved through the warehouse into the offices and vanished. If I had to guess what it was...I would think maybe I saw an angel? There was something about it that left me feeling very, peaceful. I have never heard of anyone else seeing anything like it, so I can only speculate on what it was.

@Blondheart - LOL. Neat. :3 Glad that Indian Joe didn't really grab you. XD The peaceful-rainbow thing is really interesting... I wonder what it was... I'm not sure I'd ever heard of anything like that before!

@Paprika - Oh - I know. XD But sometimes it's useful to be able to say, "There will be roughly 13.5k worth of items at half-price, so at full-price if you bought one of each thing (not each recolor), it would be 27k!" But I really haven't a clue. XD

And, yes! Commons will always be here. :3 So get good deals on the Exchange while you have the gold. :3 And during the Event, you can work your hind end off. :3

---

Blondheart - your story makes me decide to share a like-kind one. It's my dad's, though.

My dad, for a few years, worked for the military as a consultant. He was the "military police" view of security robots for the military. So techies showed him robots and my dad's job was to say what he would want it to do to help him if he were still doing a job as a military policeman. And then the techies would go, "oh. okay. *make it do that*"

One day, my dad was in this little sound-booth sort of room with a bunch of other men. It was pitch black and dead silent he said. They were watching something through the glass - so I assume it was some sort of presentation on what a robot could do. Suddenly, in the dead silence comes the rat-tat-tat-tat-tat of machine gun fire. Everyone flinched. There was a click, "...hello?" someone asked sheepishly. (That was their ringtone. XD The machine gun fire. XD )

Okay - but that wasn't a ghost story, just an example of the sort of guys my dad worked with at the time. XD They liked to program funny things into their equipment to amuse themselves.

One of their robots was programmed similarly. It was a warehouse robot that would roam around and it's job was to read the security tags on each crate and make sure it was there. In short, it took constant inventory of the warehouse and also would stop in front of people who moved and "request" their security clearance. If they didn't get it, then it'd set off an alarm.

Any time it ran across an "intruder" it would play a clip from a movie. The clip was the eerie whisper of a child. "I see dead people..." (From "The Sixth Sense"!) Apparently this spooked a lot of people who didn't know what it did. Imagine having a little robot roll up to you in the dead or night in a dark warehouse and whisper that at you. XD Muauahahaha.

This same robot caught something once. On film. I don't remember all of the details, nor am I sure about the exact sequence of events - but this is how I remember the story.

The robot was doing its patrol when it caught something on film. The security guard ran the tape back. It was a figure of a man holding a rifle. He was dressed in an old military uniform - possibly Confederate.

As I've already made clear, the guys have a sense of humor in that area, so he decided to take it as a joke. Someone playing a prank on him. (Military guys love pranking each other. I have heard so many hysterical and terrible pranks from my dad - including the time they put sardines in this one guy's office over the weekend. In little areas it would be hard to find - like the pencil sharpener. Stench! - Anyway, I'm just saying it's reasonable to believe it's a prank.)

He sends his partner to check out the area of the warehouse where the figure was caught on camera. The guy wanders around a little and apparently the guard on the other side can still see something. So he's directing the guy, "A little to the left, a little more..." and the guy in the warehouse says he can't see anything.

Then he stops dead and goes, "Is it right where I'm standing?" and the other guy goes, "yeah..." and the guy goes, "...I can tell. I'm so cold." And the guy apparently watches the ghost swirl off into nothing.

I think my dad got to see the footage. He wanted a copy but he didn't have the clearance for it. :/ Probably he'll never get it.

But I believe it happened.

I had 4k and then I ended up spending some on the cloak of healing and then there was a bargain on these hairpins in the exchange and I couldn't pass them up because I have wanted them since the first day. So now I am saving fast and furious...

I do have another story to tell, but I want to make sure you want to hear it and forwarn anyone else reading all this because this one is scary and creepy.

It is taking a lot for me not to spend my gold on the Atlantis coat right now. LOL. So I totally understand seeing a deal on the Exchange and going for it. :3

I am up for a scary story! Particularly seeing as I'm going to probably bug offline for the night. Work wiped me out and so I'm going to take a soak in the tub and read a bit before sleep. :o

In return, tomorrow I'll tell you my scary shadow-people experience. Though I guess it was more scary in retrospect than at the time. I only got scared when my brain finally comprehended what I had seen and realized it wasn't an actual person. All three times that happened.

See this story I am about to tell is exactly the same way. It wasn't quite as scary then as it is now because I know more. I do want to hear the shadow people story!

I went to high school in Iowa, and my Mom and I lived in a very old victorian house in the upstairs apartment. A really sweet little old lady lived downstairs named Fern and she had a cat.

Iowa gets really hot in the summer, and we didn't have any air conditioning. In fact we didn't even have a swamp cooler, all we had was a box fan. So one afternoon it was unbelievably hot, and I put a pan of water in front of the box fan and laid down on the floor in front of it on my stomach. I was wearing a bikini so I put a really thin little throw thing we had over my back. I had left the door open to get more air circulating. The stairs led down into a really nice sun porch that was all enclosed, so I wasn't worried about anyone just coming in. I had been laying there for a few minutes and all of a sudden I felt Fern's cat walking on my back. He liked to come upstairs and see me. So I kinda raised up and looked over my shoulder to talk to him...except there was nothing there. However...I could see the foot prints in the cover as it was walking up my back. I got up and ran out of there screaming!

That house was so weird, the radio would come on all by itself. The bathroom window would open on it's own and it was the type of window that you have to slide up. One time a fruit bowl flew off of our refrigerator across the room and shattered. I would hear voices in my ear. But it never occurred to me that the house might be haunted? I just didn't think that way. Now, in retrospect...it probably was. Not just by people either, it had to be haunted by a cat too.

I would be running out and screaming too. D: As much as I love cats and would not be particularly frightened of a ghost-cat (probably not at all as soon as I realized what it was), it would startle me so much!

I've felt that sensation before, though... Of a cat walking on my back and then turning around and there being no cat. But those have always been at night while sleeping. So it's more likely that I dreamed it or my cat did visit me, but I didn't wake up enough to talk to her until after she'd left. XD; It's a really creepy thing to be sure something touched you and it not be there, though. I just get over it by going, "I was asleep." or "probably just natural settling". ._. I wonder how many times I've blown off something paranormal by assuming there were natural reasons for it? D: (I am not implying at all that that is what you experienced - because you were awake and could see the footprints. D: )

I think it's kind of funny/awesome that you didn't even consider that it was haunted. Probably not something you were raised with the idea of expecting?

---

A few years ago I was dating this guy who lives in San Diego. Right next to Ocean Beach. If you go to the top of the hill on his street, you can see the ocean. We could walk down to OB if we wanted. It was only a few blocks. So it's not really an area that is "new". Someone must have lived on that lot before. But the house was built by the family - as in, they're the only family who's ever lived there and it was built while Chris was young... I can't remember if his little brother Timmy was born by then or not.

Since we started talking, Chris had made claims of being haunted. Waking up with deep scratches. Thinking a photo of his great grandmother was changing expressions. Seeing and hearing and feeling things. These incidents seemed to calm down as he got older, though. I assumed poltergeist, because he's the sort of guy who that would happen to, you know? Lot of emotional energy in him.

I started visiting him about twice a year several years after the first stories he told to me. I didn't really expect things to happen. And nothing did. He said that while I visited, he never had those creepy feelings. So it just reinforced my feeling that it was all poltergeist activity. (I could take that sort of dismissive view of it even then - I'm a year and a half older than Chris. XD; And not half as excitable.)

I'd visited two or three times when I had the experience.

The first night it only happened once. Actually. It might be easier if I just did a rough floorplan of the area I'll be talking about... Forgive the quality. I don't think my tablet's working quite right at the moment. I might have to recalibrate it. :B

Anyway - see where it says "Bath"? That's Chris's semi-private bathroom. There's a little hallway that leads down to Chris's bedroom. The stairs are on the opposite side. There's a little walkway area that has stairs that go down into the sunken living room. If you stand there in that little area, you can look upstairs to the landing outside Timmy's and the parent's bedrooms and bathrooms and the laundry area. (Or if you're upstairs, you can look down into the little hall area.) I should also mention (for future reference) that the kitchen isn't blocked off from the living room. You can stand in the kitchen and look down into the living room.

Anyway!

The first night I was in the bathroom, brushing my teeth. I had the door open and the mirror was against the wall over the sink (which I scribbled an indication of). Through the way the mirror was set up (it was actually three - the other two were sort of boxed on the sides. Like a screen, sort of.) [ <-- that shape. Through the mirror I could see the hallway area, and into the living room and kitchen.

As I'm brushing, I see this shadow pass by. I figure it's someone going to the kitchen to get something to drink or maybe to say goodnight to Timmy, who was in the den. (The door closed.)

I don't think anything of it until I've rinsed from brushing (not even a minute later, really) and go to the kitchen to go say goodnight to whoever it was. No one was in the living room. No one was in the kitchen. And the den door was still closed - which wouldn't have happened if someone had come down to talk to Timmy - they would have stood in the doorway.

I was confused. I got some water, crawled into bed with Chris, looked over at him and asked, "Did you go into the kitchen just now?" No, he hadn't. I thought about it a few minutes - putting it through my filter of what was likely to have happened and I finally said, "I think I saw a shadow person."

He advised me not to talk about them in the house. I was happy to drop the subject.

The next night - or at most two nights later - we were all sitting in the living room. (Well, by "all" I mean Chris, Timmy and myself.) Chris was playing some Sonic game that had just been released, Timmy was asleep on one part of the couch and I was sitting on the other part, dozing. I've never been a fan of Sonic and it was late.

My eyes are on the screen when I see someone come down the stairs, cross the little hallway area in front of the stairs to the living room, and go into either the den or the kitchen. I decide I'll get up and talk to whichever of his parents it was, so I can wake up. So I sit up and turn my head to look into the kitchen to see which it was. But the kitchen is empty. And the den door is closed.

I don't say anything about it. I think I was tired enough to not really even think about it. But less than 30 minutes later, Chris decides he's tired and it's time for bed. So we wake up Timmy and send him upstairs to go to bed.

The both of us look up and there is someone looking over the edge of the balcony thing at us. And then back over again. It was a black shadow. Neither of us say anything about it. We brush our teeth and so forth and crawl into bed.

I'm not even scared at this point, because I wasn't sure I should be. So when we're settled in bed again, I ask Chris, "...did you see someone look over the edge at us?"

He responds back with, "...Yeah... I thought it was Mom or Dad but... You saw it too?" and I go, "Yeah. And I don't think it was your parents." It wasn't the right shape and I've seen them look over the edge at us... it wouldn't have looked like that. And it certainly wasn't Timmy. He was practically crawling up the stairs he was so asleep.

We didn't talk about it, but there was such an overwhelming feeling of don't talk about it that we never spoke about it again to each other. Not ever. And we were shivering in bed at the time.

Never had that happen again any other time I visited, though.

I wouldn't even say that I've had a lot of experiences. Only a few happened to me directly. Most of them are second-hand. >_>;

I think paranormal experiences are more common than are talked about. (And probably half the time they are talked about are incorrect reports, but ahwell.)

Oh - those sound like really great deals. :3 And now you don't have to worry about getting them any longer! Yumeh ears and a tail for half price, and the New Years pin for at least 100 gold off. :3 And no further inflation. 8D

I only play three games, myself: Tetris, Helicopter, and Snake. The one I make the most money off of is Tetris (I earn about 30 gold before I get so bored I make mistakes and the game ends) - but the one I enjoy playing the most is Helicopter... Even though I've never earned more than 1,000-something points. >_> (Which is about 10 gold, if I remember correctly. I only manged to do that today, too!)

I just can't sit still long enough for the games to make me a profit. >_>;

I really like the History Channel's "Haunted" shows... they're generally pretty interesting, though they're rather lacking in evidence. But I do love a spooky story so it doesn't bother me so much in the long run. XD; I just can't stand those shows where they strap a camera on and wander around, screaming at their own shadows. Ghost Hunters is vastly better. :3

Hello ladies!

That is pretty freaky CK. I will tell ya this much though. You know how they show sometimes people getting scratched and it even sometimes looks like it spells out words and such...I can assure you that is not paranormal.

I have that happen all the time. Even when that happened to Jason and Grant I wanted to call them up and explain it for them. That is hives. As a woman who breaks out in hives all the time due to allergic reactions I am all too familiar with that. I have determined there are about 7 varieties. Sometimes they even bleed a tad at the top of the welt, so it really does look like someone or something is scratching you.

I have had what looks like the beginning of words start to form, but it's just the nature of the long raised kind. If you notice every time it happens for them they are in a basement, an attic or a really old house which is probably musty and moldy and dust filled.

Thinking about it like that makes sense... His bathroom for whatever foolish reason has carpeting. Not a rug, but carpet. It's quite possible that he has allergic reactions to that!

Yeah - the shows come out more frequently around October. XD

I think what I crave are details. If I can't have concrete evidence, I at least want details. Don't tell me, "I saw a shadow over there!" say, "I saw what looked like a person - maybe a woman - over by the window. I could see through her completely..." Some of the ghost-story shows I see only go so far as to see, "Janey woke up to see a shadow at the foot of her bed. She was scared." It's like, "well, that's all well and good, but if Janey wants me to believe her I need some sort of assurance that she didn't just see the shadow of her stuffed animal by the window. >_>" XD

That YouTube video... those are some pretty nice camera tricks. XD If I were in the mood to feel scared, I'd watch it with delight. XD Thank you for linking me! :3

it's hilarious when the people start making a big deal
out of small sounds or "sudden" movements.

or most of the time, the only evidence they'll have is
almost always on a tape recorder XD
which of course contains some sort of heavy breathing
or a growl type sound lol.

but hey, no big deal, many users are busy days on end all
the time =]

oh hoho, there's a new office on tonight XDD/random spam

Hee heee - yeah. I try not to let my imagination get the better of me. It doesn't stop me from being scared at the moment, but at least I can reason myself out of being terrified over something that probably didn't happen the way I'm scared it did. XD

Office! That's a show I really want to watch, but it'll probably have to be after the fact, on DVD. I'm so bad about watching television shows (particularly dramas/sitcoms)... >_<

on thursday nights XD now on tuesdays too lol
i think that the channels now stream all of their shows
online now =]
