I looove the outfit in the pic thread. I went and looked up loli because of that. x I'm reading about it now. x3 Is what you were wearing, the wa style? It's so pretty.

I also noticed that you will wear the same costume again. I always thought about cosplaying. If I ever get a chance to I would want something of quality. Not those cheesy ebay/party city outfits. Which means shelling out big $$. Which is okay because you get what you pay for. I just thought it sucked to have to retire it after one con. So you don't have to?

I didn't even know that my outfit was called "wa style". That site is so cool! ::bookmarks:: 8D But "wa style" Lolita is definitely my favorite. :3 I don't so much want to look like a Victorian doll. I mean. I'm a white Western girl, I've seen those dolls too much so they're not quite as special to me, so I'd like a touch of at least punk if not Eastern flavor to my Lolita. XD But, yeah, the outfit would definitely be "wa" style. :3

Yes - this'll be... hmm.... The third or fourth convention I've worn it to, plus Halloween. I know a lot of people do retire their cosplay or EGL outfits after one convention, but that's generally if they either have a lot of money to blow or if they make it themselves and can then sell it off after they've worn it out. XD There are plenty of cosplayers who recycle their costumes for several conventions or years. Either to wear them to different conventions or to costume parties, at least. And many cosplayers improve the costume or tweak it each time they wear it.

I bought my outfit from Bodyline -> http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/ like, the actual place in Tokyo. XD ::points to the tiny photo:: They were having a sale so I *think* my dress was only about 60 USD, but after taxes for money conversion it was probably closer to 100 USD.... But so worth it. >_>;

::poking around the online store now:: OMG. The yukata are so CHEAP right now. Maybe I'll treat myself. >_> LOL you can get the same dress for cheaper... But that's not including S&H so. :'

But if you decide to order from them, make sure you measure properly. The outfit I got was about the only thing I liked, that was in my size, and not horribly expensive. XD

That puts my mind at ease about wearing the same outfit.

Last night I found this in wa style. here Very pretty, but I know the lolita site said the fabric shouldn't be shiny. The store did have the option to switch fabric...but the price. -stares at wistfully-

I went through all of the styles and I didn't like the sweet and other super cute styles that would turn me into a middle schooler. However, I found this and nearly died. here Such detail and it's so lovely. But again..the price. @[email protected] I was drawn to the wa and classic styles out of all that were listed.

Ah! I see they still have your outfit. x3 I really like this one. here. This one is also nice. here Bodyline is reasonable compared to the others that I was looking at. o:

I never knew there were special names for the diffrent kinds of lolita other than 'Lolita', and 'Gothic Lolita'.
